We normally sail on Celebrity but living in southern Florida and being retired, we now sail Carnival.  We have been on the Freedom twice.   We are  sailing on the Mardi Gras the third week of April.

We have a balcony.  The beverage package.  We are eating at Rudi’s Sea Grill and Fahrenheit 555.

We are not doing any excursions but signed up for a pasta making class.

Very excited.

I think you will have a great time - we have sailed Mardi Gras twice and enjoyed it so much we have already booked both her sister ships (Celebration and Jubilee).  I have nothing against Freedom, but I think you will find Mardi Gras to be a whole new ballgame. 🙂

Good for the OP!!  We were quite pleased with our 2 MG sailings, ate at Rudi's and the Steakhouse, did the roller coaster ride, enjoyed the partial smoke free casino area, and had a mid ship, mid deck balcony both bookings.

Perhaps our top enjoyment was the utterly non Carnival decor throughout the ship.  Emeril's was an enjoyable meal as was Shaq's chicken.  Great cruises, Celebration may be our next Carnival sailing after we finish our next 4 Celebrity cruises this year.

What? You're leaving Bradenton for any length of time? Why? We love your town. Mrs. Dawg and I were just planning our next Florida vacation and we both had Bradenton as our #1 choice.  We've had a blast there in the past.

Have a great cruise!

Hi Neighbor! (We're in Sarasota County).

We loved Rudi's and Fahrenheit 555. We had an aft balcony and if we sail MG again or her sister ships we will do one of the side "bump out" balconies instead, as the aft was just too hot with no breeze.

Summer's Landing and the Patio (Deck 8 aft) is a great place to hang out and not as crowded as Lido if you want to find a less crowded (and noisy) area.
