Fellow DVCer here 👍 Vero and Hilton Head are two of our favorites unless we have the grands with us ... then it is our home resort, BoardWalk.

If you wouldn't mind, may you please check what en suite dining options are available to SS passengers? Specifically I am interested if dinner can be ordered and delivered from the MDR menu.

Wishing you fair winds and following seas!

I will inquire about the available options.

Just a lazy day at Vero Beach today, too chilly/windy for water though. I thought I would get into that LIVE cruise review mode and take some pictures of some menus. Lots of that coming in the next 7 days.

Started with breakfast at the Wind & Waves restaurant at the resort. It was very good.

We had breakfast at about 10:30, so we skipped lunch and did an early dinner at The Italian Cousin in Sebastian, about 10 minutes from the resort. We have been here before and really enjoy it. It’s small and only open for 4-5 hrs a day.

I can’t wait till the menus next week have no prices on them.

We are targeting a 7:30am departure tomorrow for the drive down to Port Everglades. Drop the rental off at the Budget location nearby, hop a shuttle, and be at the port 10:30ish.

Next report —- onboard Beyond !!!!!!!

WOW! I have heard of this situation a few times. Because of that I have developed a list on a 3x5 card to check off before we leave. Things I need to bring, cords, electronics, money “passports” and other items with a separate 3x5 card for shutting the house down.

The feeling you must of had in your stomach! 😩 🤮

Looking forward to following. We will watch you sail out! Please report back, we will board Beyond in February. 😄 🦅

Cheers!

After forgetting mine one time.    I learned and put a Sticky Note on the door to remind me to check.

My son has gotten me into Whiskey/bourbon after 40 years of mainly beers. Retreat Lounge seems to have a decent selection: Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve, Bulleit, JD, Gentleman Jack, Wild Turkey 101, Monkey Shoulder, Glenlivet 12, and a couple more.

Here’s a Wild Turkey 101, a healthy pour indeed.

This is good to hear. We really enjoy Woodford Reserve.
Did you happen to notice what Rye whiskey they have available?

Didn’t notice, but I will take another look tonight.

Had lunch in Luminae:

DW said the chicken sandwich was excellent. I had the burger. Fries not in a metal container, and they were not the normal truffle fries. Fine by me, I was not a fan of the truffle .

I do remember that! A few harrowing moments. We will miss you in The Club this week!

So, throughout the week, I will see if the Luminae dinner menus are scaled down, cut back or different than they were last year. I brought a paper copy of the previous 14 Luminae dinner menus. Each night, I will snap a picture of the menu and then find the one in the group of 14 that matches it —— then we can see if there are any changes. Here goes for night 1:

Tonight’s menu:

Previous similar Luminae menu:

So, couple of differences but the same number of apps and entrees.

Also the “classic” apps, entrees and desserts are all available every night. Not printed on the menu but our waiter listed them all.
