Gty cabin and check-in

We have some friends joining us on a cruise in March. Our check-in opened  this morning. We got checked in, but that option doesn't appear on her app. Could that be due to not being assigned a cabin yet?

Shouldn't be. A guarantee cabin can be assigned as late as the sailing date, and you need to check in before that.

No. I have a GTY and I was able to check in for a March cruise

If they still have not been able to check in, try to your friend’s reservation to yours in your app.  Hopefully you will then be able to grab a check in time for them on your device.

I also had a gty and checked in. That's not why she cant check in.

Update app? Uninstall and reinstall? Log out and log back in? She didn't change a date to see what was happening on an earlier date of the same ship and forget to switch back?

Echoing what others have said:  I've checked in before I knew my room number. 

 

Changing the subject a bit, does your friend know the barcode trick?  Use your phone to scan the barcode on your Set Sail Pass ... once your room is assigned, you'll see your room number in the scan.  Twice I've learned my room number before it was officially assigned.

A lot of people make the mistake of trying to check in from the main page on the app.  You need to select the person and then check in from that screen

Once you are assigned a room, It will not change - Correct?

Correct.... Also, if you find a more preferable available cabin in the same category, you can call and request a move.
