CAROUSEL THEATRE ON MERAVIGLIA

Hi Fellow Cruisers.  Can anyone tell me how you reserve

the shows that take place in the Carousel Theatre and cost

extra?  When do they become available?  I do not see any

info about them on the MSC website.  Thank you in advance.

Long story short:  We did it through MSC by phone call to customer service.

Long reason:  Went online into our booking, and the shows were listed. Can't remember if it was under entertainment or drinks, but when we picked a date or dates, the system blocked.  When you cal, they can give you a date, but not a show time.  We did have to call twice to get an agent who knew what to do, TBH.

We booked ours online. On MSC site, go to your booking and I believe it is under beverages.  If did not show up until about 2 months before the cruise.  If you book online before hand it is $12 pp per show.  If you book on the cruise it is $18 pp per show.  If you have the 3 Specialty Dinner package I was told you can book it on the ship and it is only $5 pp per show.

You cannot preset your time.  When you get on the ship you will need to go to Oceans Cay Restaurant (some have said there is a desk set up next to the GS reception but this was not the case on our cruise) and make your reservation date and time.

We did not like the Carousel shows and preferred the main theater shows over them but that is our opinion.

If I remember correctly it is $18 and includes a beverage. We booked it on-board, choosing date and time.

They were pretty much giving out all the beverages you wanted on the recent Meraviglia shows…if you like sweet stuff, you are in luck.

I liked the shows myself..

The $18 and $12 prices are correct..

Are you saying it was an all you can drink show? The show might not be of the greatest quality, but if inebriated enough it’ll be worth it.

One drink only included with admission , you pick it up on the way in , a choice of 3 , one  non alcoholic  and 2 with spirits.  When we were on Meraviglia in Feb 2019 there was a technical issue with one of the shows , we sat there waiting more than 30  mins when they decided to cancel .There were plenty of drinks still available on the display so hubbie just went and helped himself 😆 🤣

There were plenty of drinks at the seating area entrance on our cruise..mid show, big trays of them.  I passed, for some BOURBON. 🙂

No, you get a drink off of a tray when you go in. I will say they were the nastiest drinks we have ever had. There were 4 of us and we all agreed, they were horrible.

On Mera same show twice a night.  Drink stunk.  Show is behind casino so you have to deal with smoke which drifts into front of show area.  We booked ahead of time but no dates or time.  Asked concierge to book who called.  Butler escorted us down and in.  Among five of us, Houdini highest rating a B-.

Can you take a drink in from another bar into the show or do you to stick with the free cocktail?
