Will Celebrity change carryon wine policy to match Royal Caribbean?

Will it cost Celebrity money to change the policy back?  If so they will change it back.  If not, it will stay.  To me it's simple as that.

What I am more concerned about is Royal going to one daily room service.  Not a huge deal, but it's nice to have both.  I can see Celebrity considering that one as it does indeed save them money.

Surely there are many things that X could remove as benefits in order to save money. However, it's not as simple as that. Just because it would save some money doesn't mean they are going to do it. They can only cut back so much before they no longer have any customers.

Actually, I think Celebrity went to the two wines per person (not cabin), because it might save them a small amount of $$ on guests that have drink packages.

Far more guests on Celebrity have drink packages (premium or classic) than guests on Royal C. So the two lines might have different policies even though owned by the same corporation.

I agree, turndown service is the best. I love having my room done after a nap and getting ready for the evening!

I have to agree with you on some items.   For us we never bring wine aboard so wouldn't have an effect on us.

RCL also announced yesterday that with the exception of Suites they will be cutting room cleaning to once a day.    Hmmmm...  wonder how that will be received.

There has already been quite a bit of discussion on this on the RCI board.  As usual with CC, some are vocal against, some are vocal for, and some could care less one way or the other.

We are the same. Only once in the last five years have we booked other than a suite, and that was when our son and daughter and their families were on the same cruise with us.   If we were not in a suite or did not have a beverage package I am sure we would give it more consideration.

Likely RC made the change because the majority of their passengers don't have a beverage package... or at least they are not "included" automatically as it seems Celebrity's are.  Limiting the amount of alcohol you can bring on board means more wine being purchased by the passenger.  Celebrity allowing 2 per person when you already have a beverage package included means less wine being drunk  on X's dime.
