VIFP Platinum - Onboard Offers / Discounts?

It’s been quite awhile since I have sailed Carnival. Heading out on Mardi Gras this Saturday!

 

Do VIFP Platinum members receive any discounts or offers once onboard? Thinking for Wifi, drinks, casino, etc…

Nope unless this is your 1st platinum Cruise.

Platinum guests get $25.00 dollars cash from the casino compensation for no tournaments being held. Guess you can call it a perk

What difference does it make if it's their first cruise as Platinum?

You will get a coupon for a free drink during the last sea day brunch.  On sailings 5+ days there will be a platinum/diamond party that has free drinks.  The party lasts 45 minutes and varies on the drinks and appetizers offered.

That doesn’t make a difference. There is no discounts to be had onboard when it’s your first Platinum cruise.

The last couple of cruises, they didn’t do this. They gave $25 in casino freeplay, which you had to gamble. From that, we walked away with a whopping $7 in winnings. Paid for a couple of Pepsis. 🤪

I believe it depends on the ship. If the machines aren't set up to keep track of freeplay, you get the cash.

best thing about platinum, to us, is the free laundry service.

Our last three cruises we got $25.00 each. And an e-mail this week confirmed that we will receive $25.00 on our April cruise.

As has been stated, it depends on the ship you are on. On Magic, we’ve always gotten the $25 fun play added directly to our cards. Most of the smaller ships like Spirit, they give you the cash. Just off Freedom and they gave cash.
