Starlink report

 

The Starlink experience is best summarized in two tests. 

 

 

 

One test abysmal, the next test better.  

 

One guest who is lucky gets their session during a good moment, another user catches casino luck and has a bad moment and therefore a bad experience.

 

During these tests our gateway city was in Texas.

Our 10 night showed up later.   Some had booked 2 x 5 night but later canceled them as the 10 night was cheaper.

LOL...we initially booked the 3 night, and switched to the 5 night when it popped up. I will keep checking to see whether the 10 night pops up.

 

BTW, phenomenal photography. What type of camera/lens are you using? Want to make sure I pack the right combination of camera bodies and lenses.

The vast majority of my pics are straight from my Samsung Galaxy S22U so I could keep it live as it was happening.  

 

The stars and moon pics, plus the bird session was a Sony A7R4 with a 14mm or 70-300mm.

We haven't changed time a second time yet which surprises me.  

 

In Huatulco we were one hour offset from local time and we remain an hour offset from Puerto Vallarta time.

 

We are on mountain time, stuck between central and Pacific time. 

 

That's why I was double checking ship time earlier in case I missed the memo.  The changing app ship time threw me for a loop.   

 

No mention of a time change on the day 13 cruise compass so we must be waiting for a sea day.

And now I'm really confused.   I give up.   It must be 5 o'clock somewhere, where is an open bar?
