Pretty soon, the fritters were ready, and this is the first thing I've had to eat all day. I scarfed them down and waited for the conch salad to be ready. They make every one to order, and they have to let it "cook" for several minutes in the lime juice before serving. The fritters were great!

I finished that, then took a few more pictures before using their restroom and heading back towards Ebbie and Pat's... I think Beaver Creek Colorado is where Hunter S Thompson used to live...

Those are the best fritters on the island. Much better than Conch Fu.

Okay, before I get to that part, I'm going to change into my swimming stuff and head over to the beach club. I'm not going to be bringing my phone or anything with me... You've all seen pictures of it, and if you want you can read my prior reviews to check it out...

I promised myself that I would take some time just for me this week, and honestly I almost didn't do the "review" at all... For the next few hours it's just going to be me and the ocean and the sand, and maybe a few adult beverages on the beach... I'll pick up from where I left off later on before my final dinner on board Scarlet Lady...

Be back in a few hours.........

Priority number one should be you, Sid.

Your fans, though, sincerely thank you for taking us along on your cruise(s) and for providing days of enjoyment reading your posts.  I know I look forward to reading them and will miss them when the cruise is over.

And, their famous grasshopper tostada...

Just found this thread! My husband has a good friend on the sailing with you.

And my 10-year-old niece would have LOVED the tostada. She eats just about everything. When my brother takes her to a local candy store, one of her choices is boxes of crickets. She ate her first one last year on a food tour we went on and is now oddly obsessed with them.

I'm back now from my little break over at the beach club... I immediately just dropped my shoes and shirt on the first empty chair I could find, and headed straight into the ocean... It's been a while since I was able to do this, and the waves were actually bigger than I've ever seen them here... The water was just as blue and beautiful as ever, and I stayed out for about 45 minutes...

After that, I went over to the pool, which still looked pretty clear, especially compared to the one on board, and got in there for a bit...

Once I'd had enough of that, it was time for some tequila... The bars there get pretty crazy, and it does take a minute or twenty to get a drink, but soon I was able. Checked out the food situation, and grabbed some grilled fish and corn on the cob. Took a walk over to the other bar where it took even longer to get a drink, but once I did finally get "up to bat", the guy filled my glass pretty much all the way to the top with Patron Reposado... Probably at least three regular shots, so it was worth the wait...

I walked around some more, and then the clouds rolled in. I decided to start heading back towards the ship because I still haven't had a shower today, and I've got my final dinner this evening at my favorite restaurant on board: Extra Virgin...

I guess that I'll just pick up where we left off, when I had arrived back at Ebbie and Pat's... They were barely open yet, but I had already told the guy that I was trying to get some good grilled lobster... He said they had it, so the wait was on... They basically operate on "island time" here, so I knew it might be a minute or thirty... Or forty five... I walked around and took a few more pictures...

Eventually, my lunch was ready, and I was pretty excited... I haven't had any lobster all cruise, so I was hoping for something awesome... Unfortunately, it turned out to be THE worst lobster I've ever had, ever... In fact, the only reason I know that it was lobster, is that it was still attached to the tail shell... It had tomatoes, green peppers, and I guess plantains cooked with it, and some french fries on the side, which actually turned out to be the star of the show.

I guess that I can't blame Megan, as I wanted to get some lobster somewhere, but this just wasn't good at all... Almost inedible... I finished up what I could, and then asked how much. The menu price was $29, but the lady said with tax, $35... I don't think they really have tax here, as I didn't pay tax at Joe's Conch Shack, but I didn't want to argue with the lady, I just wanted to go... I paid her reluctantly, and even left a tip, but I would honestly never ever eat here again, not even for free...
