How to change CVPs?

My CVP has really messed up my bookings to the point that I spent three hours on a call with customer support yesterday to find out where my refunded flexible air $$ on one 2023 booking went.  Over the three hours, I found out the CVP made two duplicate casino bookings for another 2024 cruise -- one of these I paid in full per casino requirements  - the other - per my CVP -- would just "drop off" when the $$ was not paid - so he did not send out booking info on it    -- when it did not drop off and I called to find out why, he just canceled it.  So my refunded flexible air $$ on the 2023 cruise was used to pay the 400 cancellation fee on this duplicative 2024 booking that I never got any documentation on and that he made in error.  When these situations arise, he just transfers me to customer support and he takes days to return calls. So, I want a different CVP.  He currently has two active bookings for me.  Can I call the general CVP number and ask to have my bookings moved to a different CVP?  Do I have to give big explanations as to why?  Will I just get another person who will make the same type of errors and be slow to respond?

Yes, you can certainly request a new CVP.  Call the CVP direct number and do not key in the extension number.  You will get someone in the CVP department.  Tell them your story and ask for a new CVP rep.  I do not know if the cruises you already have booked can be transferred between reps.  There is, unfortunately, no guarantee that a new CVP will suit you better, but it’s worth a try.  Mine is worth her weight in gold, so I hope you can find one as capable and efficient as her.

I am also considering changing my CVP. There's a bit of a language barrier. If there's any way you can privately msg me the name of yours I'd appreciate it!! There is a lot of frustration among many people on these threads regarding possible outsourcing of the call center. I also had a bad experience with it recently.

I’m sorry, but we’re not allowed to share the names of CVPs here on CC.  I really, really love your name!  It’s perfect!  Really, love that name!

I believe the reservations can be moved. My CVP has brought reservations under her name that I've booked onboard or through the website.

If you have a CVP any cruise you book they will be informed of. I booked on board earlier this year and my CVP emailed me the next day. In fact when the on board people go to book for you they can see your CVP’s name

Unfortunately, the PM function has been disabled for quite some time.  Short of you publicly sharing your email system (which is NOT recommended) it is very difficult if not impossible to contact other members directly.

I know professional names can't be given on here. It's so frustrating!

I like my name too! Thanks!

Yes, it's too bad the message function doesn't work. I've met some very nice people on here. And some that are just unhappy complainers!  Can't please everyone.

When I have a cruise booked I mutter to myself everyday... can we go now?  Finally on day of departure I answer myself- YES! Today is sail away!  Yea!!!  🤗

My next cruise is in April 2014 so it's a ways off!

I was going to go solo again as usual until my daughter said yes to going with me. So, I called my CVP to add her on with the Plus pkg for both of us. His VM said he was out on vacation and I could have someone else help me. Being excited I thought why not. So I got another person on the phone. This must have been outsourced to Phillipines.  She was confusing and very hard to understand. She added 2 airport transfers after I told her we were driving to the port. She asked for final payment. I told her I was paying online later. She said you can't pay online anymore.  I knew different. She constantly repeated herself and saying yea- ok. I finally got her off the phone feeling she probably made mistakes. I went into the booking and corrected what was wrong. Then I called again and left a detailed message for my CVP and asked him to check the booking and email a new confirmation. He returned 4 days ago and still hasn't returned my call or sent an email. I'm going to try for a new CVP and hopefully have better communication.
