@DaveOKC  I have also upgraded to balcony’s on Hawaiian cruises and also received a better solo price each time, but I have requested the upgrade twice for Alaska but told no balcony available.

Likely this is due to the sailing being fairly well sold out.  I was able to do this on my Sept Alaska cruise on the Volendam.

An update of sorts.  I received an offer today.  There are only 4 sailings listed and it is stated this is a VIP Casino Offer.   The 4 sailings are starting at reduced rates that range from $299-$499 pp.  It is unclear of category.  I may make a call tomorrow to see if I can obtain more details.  The offer is only good June 12-June 15, 2023.

PCC told me she is not able to add Club Orange to a recent booking she did since it's not "her" booking. When we did it (it's a "free" inside state room casino offer) we couldn't book ourselves, had to speak to a person to book, which was understandable since that was the direction in the flyer and email. We asked about adding CO and was told we'd have to book first then call back to add CO that they only handled the bookings. Ok, no problem.

But when we called back to add it, were told since we have a PCC we had to call her. What - she didn't do the booking so why is she on the booking?

Has anyone had this happen? If so, how did you resolve it? We are too late to cancel and do another booking as today is the last day for that promo. Plus we don't want to lose the $$ we paid for it.

Try calling the number you booked with originally.  Also, your PCC should have been able to handle this (IMO), so perhaps its time to get a new PCC.  I always call my PCC directly with our casino offers and its never a problem, and she handles the CO option at that time.

I would LOVE a new PCC; didn't ask for this one and she has been impossible to deal with. How do I get a new one- just request? Is there a supervisor I can ask for to make a change?

Call the 800 number you have for the PCC and get the operator.  Then ask for a supervisor and explain that you want a new PCC.

Hi @DaveOKC  I have searched and searched and cannot locate the threads.   I just booked my first free casino offer and have questions I know you have answered in the past.   1. Have you ever been able to get a shareholder OBC on a free casino cruise? Is is worth trying just in case

and 2.  This one comes with a decent amount of casino play, is there a way to use that money for other things besides the casino.   Thanks.  If you would rather write me at privateemail64 at iCloud dot com.   Thanks again.

The answer to #1 is no and the answer to number 2 is the free play is loaded onto your room card for slots or given to you in free play chips if you are a table games player so it can only be used in the casino.

I have tried several times and never have gotten OBC from shareholder credit on free cruises.  I have however received it when I book with a casino discount (usually 20%).  My latest offer is for a deeply discounted (but not free) cabin, so I will try again, but I doubt that I will get anything.

The freeplay is just for use in the casino.  Given that it is loaded on your casino account card, I do not see how you could use it elsewhere (it does not show up on your onboard account at all).

Casino account card?  That is my room card or do they issue a unique card?

Sorry - I meant your cabin card, which is also used in the casino in the machines.

Hi - I just received a casino offer which includes comp cabin plus free play.  The email says to contact the PCC listed; I have not used a PCC previously.  I would prefer to just book this directly with the general reservations line; am I able to do so or does it have to go through the PCC?  My offer has only a five day booking window, so I didn't want any delays.

You can call the general line.  You can even book online yourself with the code

You can use the general line or the PCC 800#, or do it yourself on the website. Like any HAL promo, there's a code associated with your Mariner ID that triggers the rate.

Booking thru the PCC is the best way to go. The caveat is that the PCC listed on your offer is good. There have been some posts on here about PCC's that are not quite up to par. When you use your PCC it is much easier to get any issues that may arise resolved in a timely manner.

I have a Campaign ID in the email.  Is that the promo code?  I logged into my account and tried to enter the ID in the "OFFER CODE" box but it says "Offer code invalid".  Not sure why...would have liked to have just booked directly online.

I have also tried this to no avail.  I also have tried using the Promo Code in the letter (usually a two letter code).  Neither has worked for me - I have to call my PCC and ask for details - a bit of a pain!

HAL needs to wake up and fix these website issues.  I wonder if they realize how much they are costing the company in lost revenue AND unproductive work by the agents.

I have never gotten a promo code to work by entering it in the box - it always says "offer code invalid." Funny thing (not funny) is after booking directly w/HAL and asking about the code, they'll tell you the exact rate code that came up as invalid.

I think the reason the code does not work in HAL's site is that it is a code generated by Carnival casino division and NOT HAL.

How often do casino offers go out?  I received my offer two months after my first HAL cruise in May.  If I don't book this time around, will I get the same type of offers sent periodically?  My current offer is comp verandah with free play.

Everyone gets different offers at different times. Sometimes I will get 3 offers in a month and sometimes once a month. I received an offer Wednesday and then another one yesterday.

That's interesting to note.  My offer came on Wednesday and I received another one today for a lower class stateroom but with more selection of sailings to choose.
