Casino Insiders offer does not work.....

For the past month or so we have been getting emails from HAL offering us special fares for "Casino Insiders".  When we click on the provided link to these special sailings it says to log in to your HAL Mariner account.  We do that, but then the special deals go away and we cannot get them to display.  Have tried every combination of logging in and the email link, but nothing works.... its a catch 22 situation!  Has anyone else had this problem?  Typical HAL tech issue!

I just got a casino special pricing offer.  Not the % off but a list of cruises with special prices ($549, $299 etc)  the email was sent to me and had my name and mariner number on it.  There was no campaign or promo code on the email so reservations could not honor the pricing.  I sent an email to holland america as directed, but never got a response.

Dave, what browser are you using? I'm not in on the casino deals but have found that--at least for me--the HAL system functions FAR better using Chrome than Safari, which I usually favor for other purposes.

Chrome

Just booked a casino rate for March 2024. You have to book then login for the discount pricing.  I them called my personal consultant and he was able to give an additional discount. Got a great price with HIA included.

Yes this works but does not address the problem - I want to see which cruises are discounted and then I can decide.

"I'm sorry Dave, but your request is far too logical and cannot be accommodated at this time.  Thank you for calling.  Goodbye".

I recently got a free OV casino offer.  Mine usually have a link to access the sailings available.  Then I email my TA with my preferred cruise & forward the offer to her.  But these usually have a code attached to them.  I deleted the most recent one because I knew we couldn't do another cruise this year.  The list included several Alaska cruise tours - 14 days, RT Vancouver.  I am now kicking myself, cuz I'd like to know if it really includes the land portion (hotel, air, train, etc)  All cruises for AK were dated this year.

If you don't empty your trash file, it would be worth a search. I'd all but kill for an offer for AK - I've recently been flooded (well, not really flooded, but received several) with offers for Europe, which I can't do right now.

Dave -

Do you see anything starting with HEP in your email? I think HEP????? where the question marks represent other numbers or letters. I think HEP indicates HAL Email Promo or something like that. Your TA or PCC should be able to cross reference that with the sailings and offers.

Dave, you're correct about the "Casino Insiders Offers" and having to search one by one.  Some offers give a list of specific cruises, others (like this) just have a link. You have to find one you might be interested in, go through the whole booking process, then log in to see how much the fare drops.  So, unless you have a specific date or itinerary in mind, there's no easy way to see what you get.

But then, for me, ever since my very first HAL cruise, I seem to get a casino discount on EVERY cruise.  I always start with a fake booking, make a note of the fare, THEN I log in and see how much it drops.  Seems to usally be 20-30% each time.

FTR, my most recent email, received 6/8, has a code of HEP2327CIZ at the bottom.

If anyone knows how to get a balcony Alaska cruise on a casino offer let me know.   Thank in advance.

I am always able to pay a bit more and move up from the free Inside to any category.  Most times I pay about $200 pp per week for a verandahs with a Neptune going for about $1000.  These are still guarantees only and if you want a specific cabin it is a BUNCH more!

I also get casino rate on most cruises.  However, I like to search for special casino offers (usually free or very deeply discounted cabins) that for some reason I did not get an email on.  This happened to me on my upcoming cruise - no email offer but found a great deal on the website.  I had to call my PCC and send her a screen shot to get the deal, but I did and it ended up even being a bit better price.

This is good until June 12

@Mary229 - Thanks for posting.  I was curious as to what was being sent out.  I disembarked the Zuiderdam 16 day TA  May 28 where I spent way too much money in the casino, lol.   I am hoping for a future offer but nothing yet.  The TA was a complimentary casino cruise for me in a balcony.  Before disembarking I received an offer for $600 OBC on next cruise if booked by June 30.  Perhaps I will receive some offers after June 30.  Any thoughts from anyone with a similar experience?

I would expect once this offer expires there will soon be another one around July 1.  It seems to me as one expires they barely take a breath before sending out the next.  We get a variety of offers, this was from the free offers, then we also get the offer Dave is speaking of and have used it on quite a few sailings when no free offer was forthcoming (we sail a lot of 30 day+ cruises and they are not often included ), then there are the special sailings for players.
