Meraviglia: Balcony Fantastica cabin versus YC inside

If you play in the casino, you will probably get the coveted 30% off your next cruise coupon.

They give that to most any player (slots) that goes in daily.

30% off the Yacht Club       :O)

I'm going to be contrarian here, too.  If the OP doesn't drink I would suggest re-pricing the Balcony without the beverage package. Since they do like to just sit out on their private balcony the Fantastica Experience might be just the ticket for them.  Could easily do 2 cruises for the price of 1 YIN.

OP here!  Wow there's a lot of good and detailed advice written here.

With the current sale, the "inclusive" fantastica balcony is only ~$225pp more than that without, and we would get the internet and bottled water, soft drinks along with an occasional glass of wine, so its worth it,

I think we will splurge for the YC interior.

Thanks for everone's input

I'm not sure that this is correct in the Yacht Club!

To be clear, we've not yet sailed in YC so this comment was about The Haven which we were able to upgrade to on the NCL Joy. In fairness, we probably could have asked our butler to bring us drinks periodically, but for whatever reason your drink package doesn't work for butler-delivered alcohol on NCL, even if you get the upgraded package, so the cost would probably have outweighed the benefit. Given OP was considering YIN vs. Fantastica balcony, too, they likely won't get drinks on their balcony either. Certainly if you can swing a YC balcony I'd expect elevated service and at the least you could grab balcony drinks from the mini bar so that's already a step up from The Haven where the mini bar isn't included in your drink package.

I know that some MSC drink packages include more than most NCL drink packages, for exampel drinks delivered to the cabin and the minibar.

We cruised NCL until their prices become too high and the value for money too low. NCL wanted almost $8000 for a week in the Haven on the Epic in 2017 and the then brand new MSC Meraviglia costed less than $6000 in the Yacht Club.

No more 30% off YC.  Now it's nothing off YC...and 10% everywhere else.

I was in an interior Meraviglia YC in April and loved it.  We don't drink (I had a couple of cokes, one glass of wine; DH had a daily glass of wine) and aren't really into "cruise food" (I like spicy...cruise food is generally too bland for me).

But, having an individually prepared pizza delivered to me on the pool deck superceded "the fine dining experience"...lol.  And there was always something at every meal.

There's a grill buffet for breakfast and lunch on the pool deck...wonderful.  Freshely squeezed OJ in the morning with my french toast!  Freshly grilled fish for lunch!

The space of the cabin is limited....but unless you need three changes of clothing daily, you'll be fine.

We did not miss having a balcony; the YC elevator got us from cabin to pool deck in about a minute.

The service....excellent.

Go for the YC...you won't regret it.
