Suite on Oasis class - what would you consider to be a good deal?

Recommended Posts

Hi! I have sailed RC a few times, but have never looked at booking a suite before. I am looking at booking a Sky Class suite on an Oasis class ship, 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids), on a 7-day sailing in 2024 or 2025. It would need to be in the US, but otherwise I am mostly flexible on dates, departure port, and itinerary. Really just looking for the best deal!

So…what would you consider to be a “good” deal? Just did a quick search on the RC website today, and I’m seeing not seeing anything come back much lower than around $9k. Is that about as good as it gets, or can I do much better than that if I bide my time and keep checking?

Edited by CatieM80
Changed lowest price I have found, as the best price was actually closer to $9k than $8k.

Thanks @schooner_Drinker! Really appreciate the insight and advice! Do you know when some of the later 2025 sailings will open up? Like is it month by month, or is there a date when a whole season opens at one time? Right now I’m just seeing through April 2025.

I did find a couple good deals on grand suites (in the $5k - $6k range), but they were not on Oasis class ships. Right now I’ve kind of got my heart set on the Oasis/Sky combo. But not quite past the sticker shock of said combo yet haha!

Because of the older ships not having Suite Lounge Combo with Coastal Kitchen, they tend to run a little cheaper

Factor in SKY class v Suite On Non Oasis class when doing the math on cost

Wifi included

Coastal Kitchen

Suite lounge (11-11 free beer and wine water and soda)

The above are not included on non Oasis (Quantum) class ships

I mention Quantum class as it is similar to Oasis class suite perks more than the other classes in the fleet

We are not Quantum sailors so I am not as well versed on those ladies.

I just went back and looked at some of our past bookings and the best rate we ever got for a non casino comped or discounted Oasis Cruise was $4850 for a week on Allure in a Grand Suite for 3

But that was probably out of left field

I believe typically Nov 2023 for 2025, there is a current deployment thread on main board which may have a more accurate answer regarding release dates .

Quantum class has Royal Suite class that for Sky Class would include free wifi, Coastal Kitchen and access to the Suite lounge.  The SL on Quantum class does not have the 11-11 free beer/wine/water that Oasis class has but it does have free cocktails during happy hour and also the coffee machine that some people love.  CK access for Sky Class includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, with reservations recommended for dinner.  No reservations needed for breakfast or lunch.

We booked harmony in November for 2400 a person grand suite , I thought this was a good price , love entertainment on oasis class , we still buy UDP but enjoy breakfast and lunch in CK. New wonder was double the price.

Thank you, thank you! I feel like, for myself, the extra cost would be worth it. Both in actual value of being about to use the SL and CK, and also the extra enjoyment of having the suite itself. Now my husband…he would rather book 10 cruises per year, all in inside cabins! 🤣 So we usually meet in the middle and book a few per year in a Balcony.

That sounds wonderful…enjoy!! I have been dreaming about Wonder, but had to finally move on as it’s still just a bit too high. Maybe once Icon is actually cruising, Wonder prices will drop? 🤞

Did a very quick search for lower season prices in September and October on Oasis class. Your state or any military, etc. discounts could decrease the price, but as an example I found Harmony in a grand suite for four:

9/22/24      $6058

10/27/24    $5753 (Halloween cruises are so fun!)

9/29/24      $5980

Good luck!!

You need to pull rank and at least try 🤣

But I warn you, once you have done SKY you won’t want to go back to insides 😉

Oh yeah, I’m fully prepared for that hahaha! Hoping my husband falls under the “sky spell” too…but I doubt it. 🤣

OMG thank you!! My kids would go nuts for a Halloween cruise, and that’s a great price! I’m going to put a courtesy hold on that one and see if my husband is on board! Otherwise, he will be handing out candy while me and the kids live that “suite life!” 🤣 J/K…but hopefully he’s up for it!

We cruised Halloween in 2018.  It was a lot of fun.

My pleasure. We love those sailings and will be on Wonder this Halloween. The costumes are amazing.

Watch for pricing glitches late night when schedules are released. Many got a great deal for Navigator Feb 14, 2025 seven night Mexican Riviera.

My favorite OS price total for the two of us was $3458.12

$8k - $9k for Sky class is around the benchmark these days for Oasis class ships.

(FOR SKY CLASS)

Work on $380 - $400 per person per night

You can get some lower prices on the Older ladies

Book 2 years out and you might get into the $7.5k range

But anyone who pays North of $20k for Sky Class is getting shafted 😎

You will get replies of people that just paid port fees and taxes and others who only paid X Y and Z

Generally prices are going up across the board so waiting is no longer a good option

Best advice out there is to BOOK EARLY

and then see if prices drop

Time of year will also factor in

stay away from Peak holiday times

Happy Days!

YMMV

We always try to book on release date as it seems to have the best prices.  For instance, we are sailing Star Class on Harmony this winter and we have both spacious Aqua Theater Suites with 2 people in each.  They were $7744 each, so $3872 per person. The Crown Loft is the cheapest sky class available right now and that is currently $4,655 per person ($9,577 total) and that doesn't include the gratuities, DBP, and UDP that is included in Star class.

I honestly think there was a glitch in the first hours of release because the A1 was priced less than the A2s and the priced the same same as the Crown Lofts. I sat there a second and stared at it in disbelief thinking it couldn't be true. Then quickly booked it.

I was able to book the 2 BR Aqua Theater suite on Allure, Sept 10th at 4 adults for $2121/pp.

Our first Star Class. And at current pricing, probably our last.🤣

Wow!! That’s lower than most of the Sky Class suites I’ve seen in my recent search! Well done! 👏👏

We don't know when it was booked, so that makes a huge difference in pricing.  Allure is also an older, unamped Oasis class ship and that sailing is at the height of hurricane season, all things that factor into pricing.

Prices, in general, are insanely high right now compared to historic prices.

January of 2022. But yes, all those things affect the price. however...

This!

I don't remember the prices of other things we looked at, but nothing compares to the prices we are seeing now, even on the furthest out cruises that just drop. I want to say maybe other dates on Allure were up to $1000/pp more. Other ships maybe $2000/pp more?

BTW, we specifically went searching for the cheapest 2 BR Aqua Theater suite we could find (didn't want anyone sleeping on the couch in the living area) in the late Summer/Fall. This is not easy given the RC website search capabilities. Even if you look at the starting suite price, the different suites on the different cruises do not go up the same amount or same percentage from the base. You have to select each cruise, enter 1 room, 4 people, Suite, and then you can see the prices for each one. Just because a cruise has the cheapest "suite" price, doesn't mean a specific suite class is the cheapest on that same cruise, might be a different cruise. But yes, on any given sailing week, Allure was the cheapest of all the Oasis class ships, and September was the cheapest month.

We booked Allure for Sept 2024 and it was the cheapest Crown Loft price we could find.  Ours came out to about $308 pp each night.  We don't have alot of flexibility on dates though.  My son has a week long "fall break" in September.
