Best place to purchase alcohol pre cruise - Duty Free at airport or downtown Buenos Aires?

Hi all - We do not have a package that includes drinks so planning on bringing our own on board for our afternoon cocktail.  Do you suggest buying it at the duty free store in the BA airport or in Buenos Aires?  Many thanks.

What cruise line?  Many do not allow alcohol other than wine to be brought onboard.  EM

I would buy at a store in country. Might be pretty cheap.

Wishing you a great trip! We were giving Viking a serious look but the itineraries didn't work for us this year. Hopefully in the future.

Local grocery store or supermercado in Spanish . Should find one nearby

Thanks Mike - we were choosing between Oceania and Viking.  They were so similar but the casual rather than formal dining on Oceania tipped the scales for us.

We were on Oceania and brought a dozen bottles of wine onboard.  Found a lovely wine store called Ligier on the main blvd near the Sheraton.  1 salesperson spoke a little English and kind of critiqued our purchases suggesting a few swaps. They created a container fully taped with a handle. They called a cab for us......too heavy to even carry a few blocks and also you couldn't hail a cab on the street.

So you prefer formal dining? Does Viking have formal dining?
