how many stateroom are BCC on an avg cruise?   just curious

we were on line a few yrs ago with someone who was invited to a Texas Hold'em tournament.  Aside from her  upgraded balc stateroom..she  said had alot of other perks...

I've never asked, my WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is it isn't a fixed number, varies by sailing.  There are limits for sure as I tried to book an inside offer, they said there none available on that sail but I could pay $200ish to "upgrade" to an OV.  If anyone receives an offer, best to book it immediately

The past few years I was offered veranda cabins.  Now all I get is inside cabin for a fee. Have played my usual amount(if not more) and really get nothing much in the way of offers.  Now my husband who plays very little now gets offers for inside cabin too.  Mostly a short cruise and on ships we prefer not to sail on(especially vaping ones).  I feel like playing a good amount is not worth it anymore and am for the first time looking at trying another line.

The comped room offers and requirements have evolved since the restart and they used to not offer insides or OVs but around this past march they changed the program to make it more like RCIs by offering insides, coincidence?  I'll also add when they were offering balconies, while they did offer the AQ upgrade (wasn't available to everyone nor was it offered on all sailings), there was no way to pay for an upgrade to a sky suite.  Now you at least get some sort of discount if you take the inside offer and upgrade to a sky

Does anyone else it's crazy to think X would to try to fill cabins with non/low fare pax considering the current supply of patrons willing to spend freely?

The average gamblers who's on a free room offer will most likely lose more than the cash price of the room.  While there are some exceptions, the overwhelming majority of the time offers are based on your PREVIOUS play so it really isn't a gamble for X, they know how much you gambled last time

If X was losing money on free rooms they wouldn't offer them and if they were losing money in the casino, they'd close their casinos

Yes, I agree 100%. I always take the offer and either change sail dates or try to upgrade.

Just got off the Solstice last week, had an email offer on my phone for a comped veranda cabin, they also hand delivered to my stateroom during the cruise...the same offer, and when i went to book a cruise, magically i didn't qualify. And yes i spent quite a bit in the casino that trip. Only offered me a 20% discount. I chose not to bother at that point. As soon as i got home....another email offer????

I have no words

Cheers

It's pretty much always been like that with them ever changing the gambling requirements for comped rooms.  Also sometimes an offer is for specific sailings which usually includes the Pacific "Mex Riv"; those generally have lower requirements than most other sailings.  Point being, sometimes people get tunnel vision and never read the offer beyond seeing "free room" then get upset they can only book a sailing they have no interest in

Me too, Fly and Sail. Where did you get this information re: vaping?

That was communicated to me following an email to the Executive Offices when it first broke. Doesn't mean it won't be implemented or developed later but for the moment it was a pilot project on Equinox.

I do. Am reading this thread shaking my head, maybe I just don’t get it but people complaining they aren’t getting the same level of free perks they earn through gambling, us that it? Seriously confused.

I believe many on here that are confused by this thread think those with comped rooms are playing $0.25 slots.  At a minimum on tables, you're probably CONTINIOUSLY betting $25/bet an hour a night where its not uncommon to see folks on a losing streak and lose a $1,000 in 30mins with $25 minimums.  If anyone like the OP received a comped sky suite, I would have to imagine they're CONTINIOUSLY betting $300/bet or more for an hour per night

Thank you, that now makes sense and puts things into context.

And even more on slots (vacuum cleaners). If you bet just $2/spin that's ~ $25-$30/minute. Scale that up to hours and that's real money the casino potentially slurps up.

And exactly why I don’t gamble.

I have recently gotten multiple email offers and some are for Aqua and Concierge class.  I was able to book an Aqua class on Ascent for this February.  The recently sent an updated offer with sailings through the end of March.  Towards the reopening after covid I actually had an offer for 2 veranda cabins and was able to book a 9 night sailing for 2 cabins for completely comped.

In the UK I think the woke brigade would be up in arms about this. It encourages people to gamble so should be banned even though those people who gamble are grown up and capable of making their own decisions.

To be fair, the breakage is usually ~ 20% on slots over a longer play period. Factoring in wins and bonuses. Basically for $1000 bankroll you can have ~ $5000 coin in until it's all gone. If you win a jackpot then of course you can get lucky. But if you get a free Aqua Class Voyage for that that's still $6000 less than those revenue pax pay.

Interesting.  You have a woke brigade?  Is it similiar to the US?

Anyways gambling pays for our state taxes.  So no complaints here.

Gambling on cruise ships doesn't contribute to any public purse though, and there is no regulation of the tables/slots either.

The woke brigade runs our country.

I have absolutely no issue with people gambling, just not for me.

So if one spends 5K in the casino per cruise how many of these offers per year do you typically get?

As many as one is willing to sail on as it would just be ongoing until the BCC inevitables changes the rules/requirements.  X currently only cares about your LAST sailings play to receive comped rooms.  Some of us, myself included, believe they'll eventually mirror RCI's rules which only looks at your CURRENT sailings play and if you meet the requirements you're given a free cruise offer on your last night of the sailing

RCI also sends offers through email.  I have not sailed with them since early 2022 and I get lots of offers for free cabins including Junior Suites.

Are your offers limited to select sailings which are typical hard for them to sell?  Thanks for the datapoint as we haven't sailed on them yet but did just book one though a partner of theirs, MGM

Here are 2 recent offers, these were from snail mail.  RCI also has a website I can use to look up all my offers.
