If one person in our 3 room cabin can't go, is it better to cancel that person or let them be a no show? Pros and cons?

Thanks!

Cons now you could have to be moved and refared if the price went up. You are in a 3 pax cabin with only 2 pax. Even if not moved they could refare you. Ask .. depends rate code, when is cruise, are you before or after final. No one here can answer without information. Call and ask.

If they no show their fees and taxes are automatically refunded.

As noted above. I'd go with no show and eat the third person fare.

That's what we did.

Taxes and port charges were refunded back.  However, we lost 1/4 of obc and were also charged a no show penalty, so, so much for the taxes and port charges refund.

The OBC should still be attached to the cancelled guest.

It depends on the fare, because the OBC offer could apply only to the 1st and 2nd guest

The OBC in question was from a covid cancelled cruise.  We were a family of 4 when we booked the original cruise then my daughter had the audacity to get married.

Then, it is attached to the third guest.  I had 3 people in the same cabin for a COVID cancelled cruise and the OBC was divided between the three of us.  It did not matter that I paid the full deposit.  It does expire, though.
