Next up we hit Amber Cove again. I am hopeful that the thruster situation is under control, or I will be awake again very very soon.

M and I agree on one port per cruise that we don't bother getting off the ship at and we chose this one so we will have a stay on the ship day tomorrow.

Good night everyone.

Good morning everyone from Amber Cove. The morning rumblings have returned to a normal level and I was able to sleep through it thankfully.

I'm gonna get this show on the road now but first I need to send out some laundry and grab a coffee and see what M is up to (or if she is awake yet 😆)

I don't do the casino, but does that mean M won $2400! That sounds like an amazing win. That can't be typical. The way it was glossed over though, so I am not sure.

Yes.  $2400 win on a $50 bet.

This. It's a nice win but not a bet level I will ever find myself at.

My comfort range is 2-3 a spin so let's says 2.50 for the easy math, that would be like me winning $120. It would be nice, but not amazing.

With the ship vibrations I haven't been keeping up with my weight but I decided to check today because it's a bad habit to fall into to not at least try.

If it is accurate I'm -0.8 since last weigh in.

Not been hitting the track since M got here but steps still well above goal.

I agree with the comment about live reviews solo, my family does not like it much when I am live reviewing everything. It’s exactly the same to them as being on your phone the whole time, because you are.

I am glad to be a “rare” live reviewer but I think semi live is the best I can promise going forward if I have companions on the ride.

It's easier with my mom because we can kind of do our own thing but M gets bored on her own. And she is very into a no cell phone policy. Even when I was logging calories and I would do that at dinner she would fuss.

I did think the $50 bet was steep lol. I was like "I thought slot machines were cheap entertainment."

I'll never do $50 but even at my low bets I haven't figured out the cheap entertainment part yet 😅

I think I may have dreamed this but can someone verify if Magic has the gelato station in the Lido buffet area? If not there, where is it located? Thanks!

Just checked on prices, small Gelato is $2.95 large is $3.95.

That sliced cake was still pretty good today.

May grab a salad when M gets up but casino offered her steakhouse last night but we wanted to check mdr menus first. Don't want to eat too much in case we pick tonight.

Storm clouds are moving in again.

May try to do at least a mile on the track or some sauna time while she is knocked out.

No $50 bets for me!  Yikes.

I don't "do" many activities on the ship.  I entertain myself by reading.  Sadly, there is a serious lack of books on ships these days.  HAL's Pinnacle class ships have real libraries again.  I think I read at least 5 novels while on Rotterdam's TA in April.  It's quiet in there, too.  I always bring a couple of books as well.  And I keep my Kindle loaded with fluff just in case.

I typically only spend time in the casino in the evening (I'm not really into shows and I'd jump overboard if a piano bar was the only entertainment), and I try to stay out on sea days, but I do understand the draw.  But I'm a Low Roller, for sure.  It's slots and low betting on the Roulette wheel for me.

When I have DOU, I joke that I have to go the casino to get my "$30 free drink" before dinner since that's about what I drop in the slots while waiting for my drink. 😁

I am always excited to see mongolian wok on the ship.  The idea seems great, the toppings look interesting, but when I get it back to the table it is never as good as I was imagining it to be.

I've always found Mongolian to be the most consistently good meal on the ship. Just a terrible line unless you catch it on a port day. And not an unpopular port like Nassau where everyone had the same idea.

M doesn't like it either, she will be happy to hear she has company in the don't like Mongolian Wok camp 😆.

Cunard has a nice library as well.

I don't play when I just want a drink because like you said, I could have just paid for my drink two or three times over feeding a machine.
