You can check on  Resortforaday dot com  they have the Marriott Curacao Day Pass that includes roundtrip transportation.   Very nice upscale luxury resort with minimum crowds. I see they increased their rates for 2024,  now at $160.00 USD per each adult, but you do get back $65.00 each for food/drink credit.

We went to the Avila Beach Hotel - walked there from the port (about a 35 minute walk) and took a taxi back to the ship ($20).  It was $15 each for the day which included wifi as well as lounges/umbrellas around the pool and on the beach. You could buy food and drinks if needed. Nice small resort with a refreshing pool and two small beaches as well as wifi to catch up at home - just what we were looking for!  🏝️

This sounds perfect!  May I ask if you reserved day passes ahead of your visit, or did you just show up?  Also did you bring your own towels?  Were lounges and umbrellas included?  What hours is the day pass available?

The beach area looks lovely but small--any concerns that we wouldn't be able to find a shaded spot for 4 adults?

We'll be in Curacao in early February and looking for a nice day pass hotel.  Thanks!

I found the Avila Resort on Facebook and messaged through there. I think there is also an email you could use.  They do like you to book ahead just to make sure the resort isn’t too full. We had no trouble finding an umbrella/lounge chair near the pool or on the beach but we got there in the morning.  Here is the info they sent to me:

The regular day pass (Nafl. 25 / $15 adults & Nafl. 15.00 / $9 kids 4-12)

Beach access
Pool access
Access to beach chairs and umbrellas
Usage of stand-up paddle boards
Usage of reef safe sunscreen

General:

- Reservation has to be in advance.
- Daypass is from 8am till 6pm.
- Payment is upon arrival by the front desk
- During your daypass you can buy food and drinks at our restaurants and bars. Our restaurants and bars are cashless.

I just went on their website, it says there is no pool access for a day pass. Is this something new?

We were at Avila beach about a year ago on a non-ship excursion. Pool was not included then. The beach area has two sides with the restaurant in the middle. Our package included towels, transportation and a very nice meal with an adult beverage of choice. Bathroom/changing room was available as well.

I had also read in a few different places that the pool was not included in the Avila Beach day pass. When I contacted them about a day pass for our trip in a few months, they confirmed that the pool is in fact included. I think some of the third party booking sites mentioned that it was not included. It is also listed on their website that the pool is included if you search for the day pass option (says pass includes access to beaches and infinity pool). This was important to us because my boys love snorkeling and the beach but my younger daughter prefers a pool.

We have not yet been there but the communication so far has been great (messaged through WhatsApp).

Avila looks right for us.  I messaged on Facebook but the responses are from an AI 🙄

I then followed an email link and asked some questions.  Will see what happens.

We will be in Curaçao two nights…3/11 & 3/12.
