Cabo San Lucas overnight

Hi there. We are sailing the Miracle from Long Beach to Cabo and will be there two days. Our itinerary says 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on the fist day and 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on the second day.

My question is, will we have to get back on the ship for the overnight, or will we be able to hang out at night (after 6:00 pm). I'm thinking that maybe the tenders do not run between 6:00 pm and 8:00 am. But, I hope we can get out at night. The Giggling Marlin and Cabo Wabo are calling 🙂

Thank you for your responses!

Can't stay ashore. Ship leaves and makes laps out in the ocean until the morning. What happens if it is too rough to tender the next day? Can you say "screwed the pooch"?

Thank you for the info. I'm sad....

I was on the Panorama with the 2 Cabo stops a couple of years ago for a New Years cruise. Notices were left in the cabins saying anyone that failed to return to the ship on the first stop, would not be allowed back on board.

Oh NO!!! That means we cannot get a hotel for the night.

Thank you!!!!

I wouldn't see the need when you've already paid for your hotel for the night anyway, just on the ship.

Not to mention all your stuff is there already unpacked, and your meals are included. Just doesn't make any sense to me. 🤷

That is crazy, I have never done the overnight in Cabo on Carnival but just did it in November on Celebrity and we just stayed at anchor and you could come and go all night.   I did not take advantage of that but many did.   I would have thought Carnival would totally be the same.   live and learn.

I have had two cruises with overnight stops in Cabo.  On one, the tenders stopped service overnight; but we were allowed to stay ashore all night if we wanted to.  [Me, I stayed in the cabin I had already paid for, instead of paying for a hotel ashore.]  On the other, the tenders continued running (but only one per hour) all night long.  A lot of people parties at Giggling Marlin and other party spots ashore.

Mz-S's comment about the casino makes a lot of sense.  When the ship remains anchored in the Bay, casino and shops are all closed.  When the ship leaves port and cruises around, the ship can make more $$$$.

We had the same experience on Princess... I have no idea if the casino or stores were open or closed (we were pretty much just hanging out at Good Spirits until close). But I know we stayed anchored in the bay... we had an aft balcony and we sat out there just looking at the lights.
