It all depends on the cruise we take longer cruises and eat after 7:30. Reserve section is usually over 3/4 full every night. It still for matter we always tell friends that if they want to have dinner with us they have to book at least a reserve mini. I would never think of inviting anyone else in.

Oh I totally agree with you.  I didn't expect our friend to sit with us in the Reserve section.  That's why we went to the other line the very first day.  We told THEM that we couldn't sit there because of our friend.

Princess suite benefits are a joke.  That's why we don't mind sailing in a suite with friends not in suites on Princess ships.  On Celebrity, our friends must book a suite or we tell them we won't see them most of the cruise!  🙂

The perks are ok for us mainly because we rarely pay full charge. We usually book with free inside or balcony cabins from the casino and then pay the difference for the suite. Even when we don’t get free cabins we usually get 30% off the rack rate. That being said we love the size of aft suite balconies, enjoy Sabatini’s breakfast, the extra minibar, reserve class dining etc

We are traveling with friends that are in a full suite that gets reserve class.  We are not.  What happens if they want us to dine with them?

They will have to dine in the regular dining room with you or you can all go to a specialty dining room.

Hi all- I haven't been able to figure out which MDR on the Regal  Princess is for RC.  I saw  a video walkthru recently that said Symphony, does anyone know if that is accurate? Thanks!

I imagine it could be any dinning room and could possibly change depending on the cruise.  You might need to wait until on the ship.

Oooh that is so painful for an obsessive planner.😅

I started to put in my answer "Just relax and wait and see" and then I looked in the mirror!!  Can't give advice that I can't follow myself!!  🙂

FWIW when we were on the Regal in July 2022, it was on the port side of the Symphony Dining Room on deck 5.

We were on the Regal in November and the Reserve dining was in the Concerto dining room. (Deck 6)

We will be on the Regal again next week in reserve class and my PCL app shows the Concerto dining room.

Thanks for the info.  I'll check back in the app. Can you tell me where is shows which dining room is RC in the app?  Did you make reservations to RC dining?  Soooo many questions LOL.

Probably, as I can't imagine why they would change the location.

Well there you go. There must have been some logic to move it to the Concerto Dining Room. 😂

But I do know there are no reservations required or I believe even accepted in the Reserve Dining Room. That’s one reason we book Reserve Collection mini suites and higher, so we can eat there.

Using the "old" princess app, from the home page, scroll down to "Ocean Now", click on Dine my way, click on View or book individual daily reservations. My app tells me to enjoy Reserve

Collection experience, no reservations necessary and shows Concerto Dining. I haven't found the dining info on the new app yet.  Hope this helps.

On the new app when you click on "Reserve Dining" from the home page, it lists the various dining options (including those that cost extra).  Click on any Main dining room and at the bottom it says "You're always welcome and do not need to make a reservation when dining in Concerto Dining room."

We did. We boarded the Regal on July 2 for the 21-day "New Love Boat" B3B, which was a super fun cruise! I still have my Live From thread listed in my below signature area.

Too bad we missed you folks!

Yes, they had started filming that while we were on board...we had a suite right outside the chapel and met a few of them...they were a lively bunch and we enjoyed them...lol...

Thanks for the detailed information. Not showing up on either app for me. Maybe too far out from sailing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We should be fine then, booked PH suite so I think have same perks as RC.  Which makes me think of a 2nd question, does anyone know which of the speciality dining rooms they use for the embarkation day dinner perk?

Whatever one you choose to go to. Just call the dine line once you are on board and they will set you up in whatever specialty dining you want
