Just off the Getaway and Alex Stenko the assistant cruise director was outstanding! Everyone agreed as he got the parties started and kept em going!

Here are the dailies.  Upgrade is the five person live band. They played in Spinnaker lounge and yes, there were dancing opportunities with them.

I was on the Jade from Jan 27 to Feb 7 2024.  The cruise staff was excellent.  I particularly want to single out Assistant Cruise Director Pablo Robles.  I was very impressed by his friendliness anytime we ran into him on the cruise.  He was always very busy, but always took time to stop and chat for a few moments or give a quick hug.  He really made our group feel at home.  He is a true asset to the cruise line.

Correct. After I posted that comment, Goran happened to mention that Mario had extended his vacation and would be back April 19.

I'm on Apr. 7 and was looking forward to seeing Mario (and appreciated your info).

Goran is like Mario in that he is quiet with a dry sense of humor. We actually did not see him very often. I remember him being at the “how to run a floating hotel” presentation, the technical Q&A with the Captain and chief engineer, and at the “You Are Norwegian Now” farewell.

This is a serious question.. I love cruising.. I love getting great service.. but not once has the ships officers or any higher ups ever even entered my mind. Please enlighten me on what I am missing.. do people cruise so much that they develop a kinship with the officers?

I have truly enjoyed the many opportunities we have had to meet, have dinner with, get to know, and become friends with many of the officers on our cruises.  Aside from the simple pleasure of getting to know folks from many different countries and cultures, I must confess that there have been other benefits.  Some of those officers have comped us for additional nights in specialty restaurants.  Several times we have been allowed to join suite passengers for breakfast in Moderno or Cagney's even though we were traveling in a just a standard balcony stateroom.  The best part of getting to know the officers, though, is that most of them grew up in a culture vastly different from our own.  Meeting the ship's officers make for a wonderful educational experience.

We got to know Goran well when on the Getaway last year. He is a great person. You should enjoy cruising with him. We will be back for some B2Bs later this year and hope to be lucky enough to see both Mario and Goran onboard, GM and F&B.
