Lunch vs 3 night dining package

My question: Is it more economical to go for 3 lunches at specialty dining and pay per lunch OR get a 3 night dining package? I know the package price fluctuates. Just wanted your thoughts

That is what we do now.  I will occasionally purchase the UDP but if not we just do specialty for lunches on Embarkation and Sea days.

All but one lunch was 40% off during black friday so I did a bit of both. Full price I'll wait for the next sale on lunches. I get bogo as D+ and often do that.

Keep checking the cruise planner, we have bought lunches, Chop's and Jamies,  for around $20 on sale.
