Shoe question

Someone we re travelling with said he read that you have to wear dress shoes for the MDR.

i said I read you can wear sneakers. Seems the dress code has gone very casual. Is it correct you can wear jeans, sneakers ( runners) and a nice shirt for the MDR.

Shorts are allowed in the MDR for dinner. My dress shoes class with the shorts, so I wear sneakers.

Dress shoes were never a requirement for any of dining venues. Jeans, sneakers, short and long sleeved shirts are good in any of the dining venues. Formal, casual it's all up to you.

My dark skinny jeans and sneakers (leather) with a silk blouse is more dressed up than many others.

My last cruise two months ago , only shoes I brought was sketcher sneakers, stayed in suite dinner in specialty restaurants.

Last cruise on Symphony there were shorts, t shirts and mens sandals worn in MDR on formal night.
