Port Everglades: Sleep - Park - Cruise Options

Next January my wife and I along with our two kids plus spouses will be taking a 10 cruise from Port Everglades.  My wife and I will drive over from the west coast and the others will fly in the day before.  Looking for a hotel where we can stay the night (3 rooms) leave the car for 10 days and offers a shuttle to the cruise terminal.  Transportation from the airport to the hotel is not required as we have a car.

As commonly recommended here, check visitlauderdale.com for a list of all the hotels in Ft Lauderdale, and their amenities, like parking and shuttles. Don't expect a free shuttle to the port...its very rare.

There are several hotels in Fort Lauderdale that have a parking package where you leave your car there during the cruise, but it’s not free. You will pay more for the package than just the room.

As far as a free shuttle to the ship this is hard to find as many of the hotels have a shuttle with a per person charge. Since there are six of you, it will probably be more cost-effective to hire a private car service or two taxis.

In addition to the visitlauderdale.com website mentioned above, the Port Everglades Cruise Guide (https://www.calameo.com/read/004673538e0c61586eefa) found on the Port Everglades website (www.porteverglades.net with lots of port specific info) has advertisements (mostly at the end of the guide) for hotels that have sleep and park packages:

  • 2 weeks later...

We are flying in so have no need for a Park & Sail hotel option. But I checked for friends who are driving in. Most hotels I contacted do not offer this feature - parking is available only to guests staying there.

I did find a couple that offer parking -

Four Points Sheraton - $7/night

Cambria Suites - $10/night

Others I called with no parking -

Best Western FLL airport/cruiseport

Comfort Suites

Sleep Inn

Couldn't they just park at the port?

Check for rooms at Hyatt Place through ValueTrips when their schedule opens perhaps in October for bookings 2025.

I was just giving blackfly info I’d learned with a few quick phone calls…

But yes, they are researching the hotel/self-park/RightWay/Park n Go options.…

So sorry I quoted you with my response instead of blackfly.

No worries! In fact I wanted our friend to join here and research past feedback on the costs vs inconveniences of the various parking options…I may end up doing that!
