S.S.Oceanlover Posted July 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2004 What is the minimum age to cruise on Princess? My daughter will be 24 when she would be cruising if Princess is the line we choose? Bill
pegpowell Posted July 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2004 I'm not sure what you are asking. At 24, you are an adult and certainly able to travel unaccompanied by parents. As far as children go, I have seen babies on up. There is a minimum age to be in the children's program, but I don't remember what it is.
Rare Coral Posted July 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2004 18 to book your own cabin. Some of the other lines is 21. At 24, she shouldn't have any problems with any lines.
derf5585 Posted July 20, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2004 Princess welcomes children on board as long as they meet the age criteria listed below from http://www.princess.com/about/policy.jsp?policyId=na400

GloriaF Posted July 20, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2004 Thought she was asking what age could she book a cabin alone. Good sleuthing derf & Coral!
Toto2Kansas Posted July 20, 2004 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2004 I thought some lines used to require someone to be 25 in the cabin? Maybe I am remembering wrong, but I think that might be what the original member was asking about.

Thanks for that link Derf. If anyone could find it you could. :D Coral, Please don't wish that on me again. :D I have grandchildren older than that! Thanks for all the replies from everyone. S.S.Oceanlover Posted July 20, 2004 Author #11 Share Posted July 20, 2004 Chris, Since I'm used to traveling CCL I thought that was the age restrictions for all lines, but than I read different rules for NCL. So I asked here for confirmation for Princess. I am going to talk to my daughter and future son in law and see if they'd like to do the Caribbean Princess eastern itinerary. I was trying to find a western itinerary but nothing stands out for the week of their honeymoon and want them to have a special cruise. I think the Caribbean Princess would be perfect. Toto2Kansas Posted July 20, 2004 #12 Share Posted July 20, 2004 Thanks Chris, I knew I read that somewhere about the 25 year age limit per cabin. ;)
Rare Coral Posted July 20, 2004 #13 Share Posted July 20, 2004 I think Carnival has a 21 age limit but if someone is under 21, the other person in the cabin has to be at least 25 or something strange like that. At least this is what it was like a few years ago. I do know (2) 21 year olds who cruised recently in their own cabin with out knowing anyone else on the ship. gopher's girl Posted July 20, 2004 #14 Share Posted July 20, 2004 Chris - Not sure if that is really held up because my sister went earlier this year and they had 3 22 year olds in one cabin.
johnql Posted July 20, 2004 #15 Share Posted July 20, 2004 Also, aren't all bets off if a young couple is married? I believe two 18-yr-olds who are married could book a cabin together.
