Then Open a new tab for Internet Explorer. (1) Go to Webshots.com (2) If you want to use one of your own photos and haven't registered on Webshots.com, do this now. Click on "Upload". Then Click on "Join Webshots Now". Fill in the required info. Click on the "Join Now FREE button. Then after doing the email click that Webshots sends you, upload your photos. (3) Find the photo you wish to use and click on it. For example: in the "Search" box (lower left), type in Carnival Inspiration Cabin M298. Then click on "Go Get It" (4) Several pictures will appear (hopefully), choose the one you want. For example: Cabin M298_171. (5) When the picture appears (it takes awhile, so be patient), go to the right hand side menu (6) About 1/2 way down the right hand side there is a box titled - "Link to it" Click on it. (See Figure 1) (7) The "Post This Photo" page will then appear. (See Figure 2) (8) Click the box above that is titled "500" (See Figure 2, blue box) These numbers refer to the size of the picture as it will be shown. You can also choose the "100", "200", etc boxes for different sizes. (9) Then click on the words "Direct Link To Image" (See Figure 2, red box) (10) The URL should now be highlighted in blue. Copy this blue code by either (a) right clicking and selecting Copy or (b) Press CTRL-C (11) Now return to your Cruise Critic message post and click on the "Mountain Symbol" (Figure 3, red box) "or Insert Image symbol (Figure 3, red box) (12) A Cruise Critic message box will appear (See Figure 4, red arrow). Copy the Photo's URL code to the Cruise Critic message box by either (a) right clicking and selecting Paste or (b) Press CTRL-V (13) After Pasting the URL, click on OK in the message box (See Figure 4, below red arrow and below URL area). Your photo will appear below the text you typed earlier (it takes awhile, so be patient). So that's it. If it works for you, tell me. If it doesn't or the procedure needs changes, tell me also. ms simba Posted September 3, 2009 #210 Share Posted September 3, 2009 I am glad it worked for you. Before I retired, I worked for Medtronic (heart pacemakers other health devices) and a great portion of my job was creating procedures. I really believe that a picture is worth a thousand words (but then my procedures are pretty wordy also!) Wish I could get a part-time job creating procedures - love writing and editing! gkm Posted September 13, 2009 #211 Share Posted September 13, 2009 Hi everyone. Host Sheila just told me about this wonderful forum. I didn't know it existed. I have another easy way to upload pictures some of you might want to try. I use http://tinypic.com for my uploads. It's really easy. Open the tinypic program; Click on Browse and find the saved file on your computer for the picture you want to display. Go to the drop down box called Resize. There are 3 sizes that work well. 1) Message Board (640x480) 2) 15" Screen (800x600) I use this one 3) 17" Screen (1040x768) Select Upload Now. A new screen will appear. Under Share this Image Copy "Image code for forums & message boards" and paste it into the thread you want your picture in. This is a sample of the size Message Board (640x480) This is a sample of the size 15" Screen (800x600) This is a sample of the size 17" Screen (1040x768) I hope you find this useful. lingeries name Posted November 14, 2009 #218 Share Posted November 14, 2009 First of all see how much space you have in the post body of your blogger template. For example in our blog it is (currently) about 570px. Leave some space, say 20px, for padding etc. Now the available size for image is about 550px. Now, Go to Layout » Edit html and find this: ]]></b:skin> Add these below lines before the above line: img { max-width: 550px; width: expression(this.width > 550 ? 550: true); } Change the value of red number according to the layout and available space in your blogger template. However if you already img{ tag in your template, then only add the below lines max-width: 550px; width: expression(this.width > 550 ? 550: true); Save the changes. Now, while doing your posts, upload the images normally like you did previously. Once the image is uploaded, go to Edit html tab, and the image code will look something like this:
