I tried looking up the smoking regulations for our last cruise and was never able to find it I just figured it wasnt allowed in the cabins... thanks for the info , glad I found this site ....:p

The fire started on a balcony. They believe a cigarette was the most likely cause.

 

The reason the fire spread so badly was because it was on the balconies and outside of the fire suppression systems.

yes, but do remember that you can't open your door and allow the smoke into the hallways. Hallways are all non-smoking to protect children in the area.
