Average Final Bill for On Board Purchases?

we just got back from our first cruise . We spent about 1,500 on pictures perfume, jewerly and some drinks. We had a ball and have already booked our next cruise since we got $250,00 shipboard credit and 50%off next cruise based on the cost of this cruise. Not bad!! we were on the Explorer of the Seas on 9-26-04. Due to hurricane Jeanne we sailed one day late. We hads areal good time.

my wife and I are good for 100 a day. Good drinkers and 2 kids. Thats with all of the kids stuff too. We are good for 1200 a week.

We are going on our first cruise and I am wondering what all the "kids stuff" is?? And how much is it going to cost us???? I have a 13 and 10 year old.

Ours was between $1001 and $1501 on an 11 day. This included spa, a couple of drinks before dinner, a couple of gifts, flowers and wine.

7 night mexican riveria last month. final bill after $100 on borad credit was $78.53.

ours was $800 for a 11 day Hawaii cruise. that also included buying a horse for the owners race...............

Maggie, the kids stuff for us was primarily the late night party in the kids club, $5/hr/kid. They begged to go so I figured that was like an excursion for them and I let them stay there. Some kids can also run up big arcade bills.

We spent a total of $1700 for 7 people on Navigator. That includes all the tips though. We did more onboard shopping than I anticipated. Add wine with dinner a couple of times, the occasional drink or two, pictures, etc., etc.

12 night med cruise for six people $2200. Just as an aside, we booked NO excursions everything was on our own. Four kids, wine at dinner, some casino,some pictures: it all adds up. there are some tender fees included from ?Dubrovnik and ? Villafranche.

Can you explain the ins and outs of being a race horse owner? How much does it cost? Where did you sign up? Why do you want to own one in the first place?

$74.34 for our most recent cruise.

Our bill was ~$1900.00 less tips for a seven night cruise. We did have a lot of fun!

$500.00 at the spa for two people.

$500.00 for bar tab.

The rest was shirts, photos, bingo (won $217.00) and two bottles of Bailey's for $32.00.

I can't imagine going on a seven day cruise and spending less than a $100.00. We have twins also.

I haven't cruised since high school (LONG time) and am taking my 10 year old daughter on a mommy/daughter cruise for spring break. So I'm interested to know what charges are out there for kids. I'm planning on getting the soda card. I just read about the arcade. What other kind of trouble can she get herself into? (and I'm not going to let her roam free, I just want to know how to plan)

And for big kids - can someone tell me the ballpark prices for things, like pictures (how much is one standard sized?), drinks (non-froofrro with a decent liquor, glass of wine, champagne), spa treatments (do you know any individual prices for massage or similar)?
Any help most appreciated.

AOS 1/9/05 - $2,246, but $900 was the damn Seapass in the Casino. Watch out for that.

The rest was Spa and Booze. Needless to say we had a blast (And may have a gambling problem:D )

My goodness! You must lock yourself in your cabin and never come out until you disembark. I spend that much waiting to get on the ship. We average around $600 for a 7 day cruise not counting what we spend in port.

dexter, great comment: how can anyone spend only a couple hundred dollars. Our bill runs, like yours, about $500-$700 including everything from gifts to gratuities. NMnita

The only way our seapass account at the end of the cruise would ever come out to less than $100 per day for 2 would be if we'd accumulated at least that much in onboard credit prior to boarding! We'll have at least $750 in onboard credit for our next cruise, a 7 nighter, but there are 5 sea days (aka lots of drinks and spa time), so I'm thinking our sea pass bill will still exceed $500.

Then it's the shopping on board (t-shirts, Tortuga Rum Cake, bottles of booze, pictures, cruise dvd, etc.). Gratuities we pay in cash. We might do an excursion but it all depends on what port. Some places we've been to already and won't bother unless it's something we really enjoy (Stingray City in Grand Cayman).[/color][/font]

We renewed our wedding vows on our first cruise. It was our 32 anniversery and a very special event to remember. The grandkids were able to watch on the Princess Cruise line website. It was well worth the money and plan on doing it again when we reach our 50th :) We are trying to cruise each year on our anniversery (Nov 26). This up coming year we will be doing the New England cruise in Oct and again the next Jan (Disney with the grandkids).

I am planning on spending around $1,000 on each trip.

My wife just informed me that we were going to spend no more than $200 on our 2/6 cruise. I'll remind her of that when she's at the art auction.
