cot427 Posted December 20, 2007 #126 Share Posted December 20, 2007 I like some of the names I have seen on here, such as Creation of the Seas (as seen on Wikipedia) Endevour of the Seas Maybe Spirit of the Seas Joy of the Seas Pride of the Seas One thing is, RCI will probably totally suprise us. FL_Cruiser64 Posted December 20, 2007 #127 Share Posted December 20, 2007 In the Florida area I have heard talk that RCI will be selling the naming right of it news ships almost like stadiums, but keep the "of the Seas" part. Anhieser-Busch may get one and name it Busch of the Seas. It has also been talked about Wal-Mart getting the naming right to Walton of the Seas, after founder Sam Walton. As long as it does not get as bad as stadium naming right I am ok with this. ***** of the Seas!

ShillyShally Posted December 20, 2007 #129 Share Posted December 20, 2007  I really really hope this just someone talking out of their sitter downer. LOL - that's a great line! I can't see them giving up naming rights but maybe they'll use the corporate/miltary offices as inspiration: CEO of the Seas President of the Seas Major of the Seas Sergeant of the Seas Controller of the Seas General of the Seas VP of Sales of the Sea or about just: Of The Sea.... cruiserbryce Posted December 20, 2007 #130 Share Posted December 20, 2007 I was under the impression that the announcement of the names wasnt going to be until April/May...and that they had already said neither ship will be named Genesis of the seas

Bob M. Posted December 20, 2007 #135 Share Posted December 20, 2007 Personally I think that since Sovereign of the Seas will be gone that they may again use Sovereign. It will be the largest ship afloat same as when the original Sovereign was launched. Bob

logan1_2000 Posted December 20, 2007 #139 Share Posted December 20, 2007 The Voyager class had the name Project Eagle. And in some thread long ago I got into a quibble with someone who kept using the phrase Eagle Class, and when I asked what he was talking about (not having been involved with cruising or RCI at the time of project Eagle) the other poster insisted that he was correct in calling it the Eagle class. Oh. So everyone else was wrong was my reaction. And left it alone after that. I thought I recalled seeing a recent news release that included the fact that the name will NOT be Genesis of the Seas as just about the only fact they would announce at this time. how about: Get Out Of My Way of the Seas and Let The Big Dog Eat of the Seas. Pat&Liz Posted December 20, 2007 #140 Share Posted December 20, 2007 I liked the ones names after the precious stones - e.g. Diamond, Sapphire, Pearl etc. I also like the idea of naming them after old ships - maybe not Titanic, as someone suggested, but how about Victory of the Seas, and Temeraire of the Seas, and Brittania of the Seas... mwhahaha (maybe not!!) Reijo Posted December 21, 2007 #141 Share Posted December 21, 2007 How about Genesis of the Seas and Revelations of the Seas? Like the "Revelation of the Seas". Perhaps once RCCL determines that they will not building more of the Genesis line then they can name the LAST of the Genesis series "Revelation of the Seas". I do like that!!! ShillyShally Posted December 21, 2007 #142 Share Posted December 21, 2007 As a rollercoaster lover maybe they could find the same inspiration... Talon of the Seas Maverick of the Seas Millennium Force of the Seas Raptor of the Seas Sidewinder of the Seas Gemini of the Seas Mantis of the Seas Wicked Twister of the Seas Hulk of the Seas Kraken of the Seas LOL, and the list could go on... of course many of those are snakes or other such predators, perhaps a predator theme would be fitting? :)
Pat&Liz Posted December 21, 2007 #143 Share Posted December 21, 2007 Hmmm... Also, why not name it after some legendary sea monsters... Kraken of the seas (mentioned above, being my inspiration) Aspidochelone of the seas (I like this one - legendary turtle that appeared as an island and lured sailors to their doom) Godzilla of the seas Or Nessie of the seas... truffles2 Posted December 21, 2007 #145 Share Posted December 21, 2007 How about "Mob of the Seas"....or even better "Mad Mob of the Seas". That, of course, would be followed by "Compensation of the Seas":D

jt1120 Posted December 21, 2007 #150 Share Posted December 21, 2007 So, in staying with the ride theme, I'm guessing that "Tilt-A-Whirl of the Seas" is out of the question? BTW, this is the best thread ever!
