I use a Nikon D60 but I'm looking to move up to a D90.

I see a D90 body only advertised in the U.S. for about 330

http://www.stopandshopdigital.com/products.asp?dept_id=10004&product_id=337

Anyone out there coming down soon ..who might bring it to Barbados for me?

.

Look out for that website. It may be one of those with hundreds of complaints on it.

Make sure you Google it for others comments first....

They try to upsell you will tons of add-ons. If you don't buy the addons, they put your order on backorder... forever.....

Don't give them your card #

That's exactly what they do according to a friend of mine who is a big camera nut. He cautioned me to not use them.

I believe all the 4G cabins have windows. They used to be 6 somethings, but I guess people complained that they weren't actually "ocean" view, just "view" since they look forward, over the forward deck and not out the sides toward the sea.

I don't normally like high and forward, but took one of these because I wanted access to that deck area AND I got it at a 4A price. I called about a price drop on my Miracle cruise, and when I got $200 per person drop, and could book this cabin at a 4A price, I jumped on it.

I don't think the center cabins have the 2-beds only configuration; I believe those would be fine for a couple. It's just the end cabins with the weird shape that have two twins end to end against a wall.

I'll find out soon!

I used to love going to the dining room for breakfast, especially on port days, but once I discovered the made-to-order omelette stations on Lido, I much prefer that. Dining room takes too long, service is too slow. I want my hot breakfast and I want it now! :p

Will probably not even be on the ship for lunch on any day, so will rely on room service or a deli sandwich for a mid-afternoon "snack" after we return from excursions.

Movie times anyone?

Does Victory have tea times when they are doing the port-a-day itinerary? Enjoyed tea on the Triumph last May, but it was offered on sea days.

Good question...I wonder how they work that on this itin.

anyone have a clue?

Someone did have Victory capers posted. They've posted a thread here before giving a link where people can upload them. I glanced through them, but haven't bookmarked the site.

I'll see if I can find them and see if there are tea times listed, and movie times.

Found them! You have to click the "download document" link to get them to come up.

Looks like the little tear-off sheet is missing, though. That usually has the tea time listed. Guessing that they don't do tea on this itinerary. Every cruise I've been on, tea was only on sea days.

Yeah...that was what I was thinking....they may just not have them on this itin.

I LOVE the green atrium, it looks like the "Mother Ship" landing!:D

Seven months from today we'll be out there somewhere (went to CCL website to see WHERE exactly, but got an error message...) but exactly where doesn't matter, just that we WILL be onboard!

Thank you, kind sir! :D Sounds a lot nicer than sitting at my desk fending off the tag-ends of a case of bronchitis! (No, NOT Swine flu - or since we are not to slander the poor piggies, I've begun referring to it as the R2D2 flu).

You board a cruise with all sorts of intentions
and get carried away in various moments.

I was keeping an eye out for you too, but never came across you.
This has happened on other cruises, where you meet people you know on the very last day
and exclaim in amazement that you had no idea they were on board too!

Love your shots Aplmac. I check them out everyday, only have 9 days till DW and I sail on the Victory and 8 untill we are in OSJ. Don't know if your photos are making the time go faster or slower. But I have to have my Victory Fix everyday so keep them coming.

Since you live in Barbados, what is your opinion of the "Swim with the turtles" excursions? DW and I will be celebrating our 20th in Barbados and that is what she really wants to do. Which is funny since the baby turtles scared her in Grand Cayman 2 years ago. As for me anything that puts me into the water is OK with me.
Being I live on the island, we take stuff like swimming with the turtles for granted.

Honestly, I've never done it..but it is hugely popular with visitors
and there are several catamaran coastal cruises that will facilitate you
so start researching over on the Barbados Port-of-Call section
to find out which operator you want to choose.
