Disembarkation Question

Does anyone know how many zones there are for the disembarkation process? Is it different on every ship? I've looked for this answer on other threads and haven't been able to find it. We have a late afternoon flight and plan to disembark when the last zones are called.

Hope someone can help....

We will be disembarking at the Port of Long Beach (next to the Queen Mary) and will be getting picked up by family at the terminal. As we will not have the ability to contact our pick-up on the day (neither of us have cellphones) we are trying to coordinate a time for the meet.

The original plan was to meet around 10:30 but I have read a few posts that indicate we have to be off the ship REALLY early, with NCL this was not the case on both previous cruises we disembarked about 10 am....however, if this is not the case with Carnival we will need to advise our ride.

Please any information that could help will be appreciated.

There are just under 30 zones. Different ships have varying amounts.

Your number is for your luggage. In Long Beach there isn't enough space in the baggage area for all the zones.

No matter the number you have (or doing self assist) you can leave at any time after your number's been called. Most cruises we are some of the last off just before 10am.

Passenger pickup is the bottom level of the parking lot across from the Dome.

IF you like to stay on board late(we always try to be off as quick as possible) then just tell them 10AM and IF you are off earlier ask someone to borrow their phone to call them.

The worst that will happen is that either you or your friends may have to wait a bit.
