CCL Comps for Upcoming Cruise

What is the current process for checking with Carnival Players Club to see if you have any advance comp offers for upcoming cruises. I'm 90 days out from my next cruise. Last cruise, I got the Drinks on Us early on the third day from table games play because I was constantly in the casino and was also playing $1 every Let-It-Ride or 3 Card Poker hand for the dealers.

I think the DOU card was more about tipping the dealers and them dropping $30 an hour, but maybe that might help comps for upcoming cruise? Can't hurt to ask?

I will disagree with you completely.

We received an offer the last night of our cruise and it has been nothing but a nightmare dealing with Carnival trying to book our free cruise.

We have spent hours on the phone trying to find a date and port that is available.

VERY limited selection and they are not willing to work with us at all. And to make matters worse, they are unwilling to send what is available.

A free cruise is wonderful but dealing with Carnival on this almost does not make it worth it.

Sorry you've had such problems with Carnival and picking your cruise

We've had the opposite experience and each Free cruise or premier cruise or discounted cruise was easy as heck to book.....We've called the main number and booked or were put through to their casino dept each time.....Only issue I could see would be IF the cruise times didn't match with time we could get off from work and then we just picked ports that did work

I've cruised with carnival 8 times in the last 12 years and I have not really got any good offers Nor a Free Cruise.. I get the past guest rate at best with many 100$ obc. Me and my wife go to the casinos a couple times a week but only slots . Any tips to these great deals that you talk about ? Thanks in advance

For the casino deals you generally need to gamble 3-4 hours each day and average a amount of at least $25 a hand on table games Or get a good amount of points on the slots

  • 2 weeks later...

received my first "free" cruise offer from the casino at the end of this last cruise..the only difficult part of booking is when you call the number I felt that the people I spoke with were not very helpful. I did end up asking about what was available from Jax port, Port Canaveral and Tampa. After I got the dates I did book for March 19th out of Tampa.

I'd love to bump up to Premier offers... I typically wind up with 2500 points and do 95% slots and 5% blackjack.

I'm determined now not to really pay full fare anymore...hopefully between the casino and pack and play that can be a reality :D

I took my first cruise in December 2015, and just last week in my account saw a "Pack and Play" offer, with fares starting at $75 and up, with $100 OBC included. On that December cruise, I earned around 3000 points over 7 days.

Booked the Vista trans-atlantic for this coming October. Upgraded to a balcony room for, what I think, was a phenomenal price.

Best way to see availablilty is to log onto carnival website with your vifp#, click on your offers..if you have a casino offer it will show up, with all available sailings and the price.

Ours was actually available on the day we got off the ship, later in the afternoon.

You can either book online, or call your pvp.

That is the easiest way.

Our latest experience with Carnival was so much better than in the past. We were given our comped cruise the last night and the first day we could call we were prepared with all of the dates we wanted and which destinations.

So we chose an Alaska cruise out of Seattle in August and we upgraded to a Port side extended balcony in the middle of the ship which was their strong recommendation.

So with upgrade costs, port charges and gratuities we are spending less than $900 and we got our first choice.

I'm sure excursions and a trip to the Steakhouse will cost of more than the cruise, but considering the same cruise would be in excess of $3600 I consider it a great deal.

I just wish it was August.

Does anyone know if your points carry over from other cruises? Just feel likes it is a bit haphazard when they give you the free drinks at the casino? Is there a legit formula out there to see what $ amount you need to spin on slots to get them? I need to pay attention to earned points better

The current rumor says that if you have 5000 points or more from a previous cruise that you're entitled to a DOU card at the beginning of the cruise. You can e-mail the player's club prior to the cruise to see what if anything you may qualify for.

Thx, great idea. Just seems like I received the card really early and I know I did not spend that much to get it. Later in the cruise may be another story!

Also once you reach 7,500 points in a 12 month period you R suppose to start receiving premier offers

We've been only cruising on premiers the last 2 years, twice a year........New premier offers are suppose to come out tomorrow

Also once you've cruises on a premier offer. You then quality to receive a Ultra offer.....these come out sometime the beginning of Aug or so and are like the premier offer with comps, cash, drawings etc But they give each person a REALLY NICE PRIZE at the end......like a iPhone 6 , IPad, 65 inch smart tv, $5,000 Gold Watch, Free cruise etc. those are just some of the great gifts people received on the last Ultra

We can't wait to get one this Aug. last year we couldn't make the cruise for the ultra 😰

I play blackjack only. No slots. I was told that i don't get points. that my offers and comps are based in win/loss. Does anyone here who only plays blackjack know if they have points??

I see the Premier offers came out today, but has anyone seen the "Pack and Play" offers lately? The last ones we received were in September of 2015.

Thinking of booking a Premier, but a bit concerned as I've heard the casino gets really crowded making it hard to find a machine and that it's really noisy with all the overhead announcements..maybe from contests going on? Any input?

Haven't seen any Pack n Plays in quite awhile either

We just got off a premier cruise 2 weeks ago on the Conquest......I keep reading people say Oh the casinos jam packed etc etc

Personally on my last 2 premier cruises I don't think the casino was packed at all. Always seats open at tables with the exception of Ultimate Texas Holdem. Which there was only 1 table so sometimes a wait

Slots were always open and the Babies machines that everyone says is normally standing room only even on regular cruises were like a ghost town on the premier cruise......My Mother in Law hit $1,700 on one the first night and $2,500 on another one the 2nd day

There were only 2 nights I'd actually say that were very busy in the casino compared to most

Also service was excellent......very few times had to wait for a drink and most times there were multiple servers asking who needed drinks

Have fun and Good Luck
