Week 2 of the Juneau season will welcome five HAL ships over a three day period.

For Monday, we have the usuals - Nieuw Amsterdam at the CT dock (1300-2200) and Eurodam at the AS dock (the schedule is still showing her there so hopefully they have finished the work) (1300-2200).

Also in port are the Norwegian Jewel at the AJD (0700-1330) and the Ruby Princess at the FKL dock (1100-2215).

Weather forecast calls for a high of 47F/8C and a low of 42/5C with a 70% chance of rain. Sunrise is 4:45 am and sunset is 9:01 pm.

The PTZtv webcam can be found at http://www.juneauharborwebcam.com/

Remember the ships (at least the HAL ones) usually show up on the webcam about an hour before the above mentioned times.

They appeared to be working on the dock last Wednesday and with no ships at all on Thurs - Sun, you'd think they could get it done. No way to complain about all the extra people in town muddling up traffic/causing supplies delays, etc.

I have mentioned before that I think HAL is repositioning their ships away from Florida too early. Here we see Juneau on the second week with rain and temps in the 40's...not pleasant for shore side activities. The same with those leaving for Europe. This year Rotterdam, Westerdam, and Koningsdam all left within 3 days at the end of March only to arrive to cool and cloudy weather as well.

I'm on Eurodam right now. Waving my bed pillow deck 5 mid ship balcony above lifeboats. Had a great ride up. Smooth til about 5pm last night. But even that wasn't bad. A lot better than last weeks weather.

It's a light drizzle right now. We're at the new dock according to captain Scott. What a great man he is. So friendly
