Purse

I carry a purse while in port and in the evenings on the ship. During the day on the ship I'm typically at the pool and have my beach bag, so no need for a purse. In the evenings, I carry a little purse -- just enough for seapass card and lipstick. I carry my camera separately, and DH carries the camcorder.

While in port, I typically have a tote bag, but have a small purse inside the tote bag holding small items -- credit card, seapass card, driver's license, lipstick -- so I can keep it easily in one spot without it all floating around inside my tote bag.

If I'm not wearing something with pockets to hold my camera, chapstick and key card, I have a very small clutch that is on a cross body strap. Those things and a pen will fit in it.

I repack for going ashore but again, that is all I ever have with me. I don't dress up for dinner so that little quilted clutch is the best thing I've ever used.

I use a rather small-medium purse (black) to carry our needed stuff around on the ship. Find it the easy thing to do. On beach trips I just put it into our beach bag since the things we really need are already there. :)

I use a cross-body purse with tons of zippered pockets, such as a Baggallini.

They have a variety of styles, sizes, and colors.

You also might want to look at Travelsmith.com and Magellans.com for purses with security features. Another brand to look at is Pacsafe.

I brought a small backpack style purse for my last cruise and it worked for much of my stuff, except for my puzzle magazine (which heightwise was just a little too long to fit, so I tore out a few pages and folded them so I can take a few puzzles with me at all times). Everything else would fit -- camera, Patters, a few pens, sunscreen,, etc. I used a lanyard for my cabin card.

For formal nights, I would switch to a little clutch and stuff my camera in it.

Port mornings, I would add my ID, wallet, my port info print out, a factory-sealed snack to the regular purse.

I carry a small crossbody bag (a little bit bigger than a checkbook) that holds my chapstick, carmera, room key, tissue. Being small I couldn't load it down with junk but it held all I needed. I ended up using it when we got off in ports and was very pleased with it.

I could get along without a purse...if my Kindle had a strap on it...But I carry a fabric tote bag with Kindle, and some needlework for down time, waiting for a program/activity to start. And the camera goes into it, too. The Seapass/cruise card goes in my pocket. Only my formal night dress does not have a pocket, so sometimes the card goes into the bra...EM

For most days on board if my outfit does not have pockets big enough to carry my cabin key card, a Burt's Bees tube, my camera, and a bit of cash for the casino or spur of the moment tipping, then I use a small wristlet to place these things in. This wristlet then doubles as a wallet that fits in my cross body bag on port days. For formal evenings I do pack whatever number of outfit matching clutches that I can add my make-up & fold up brush to in addition to my other things, to avoid trips back to the cabin for touch-ups.

I'm never without a purse. Days on the ships, I have a small wristlet for reading glasses, ID card, lipstick, tissues, small ziploc with medications I take during the day. and a bit of cash. In the evenings, a small clutch or evening purse and ashore a small cross body bag with the very basics I know I'll need. (A tiny tube of sunscreen for DH's head :), sunglasses, copy of our passports.

I prefer to keep slip of paper with Port Agents contact information in a pocket in case we are robbed, they won't get our emergency number to call for help.

I leave my purse in the trunk of our car in the parking lot =)

I do bring a teeny tiny baggalini for when I have to carry some things, but in general, I only carry my SS card ( in my pocket or DHs). We don't take many pictures when we cruise and seem to have "camera times" and " no camera times" LOL for lack of a better explaination.

I do like the Baggalini for port days. I keep my valueables in it and wear it cross body underneath my shirt. I can fit my PP, SS card, Cash and even my phone (also my camera) if I need to. Its small enough that I can stick it into a quart size ziplock if I need to keep the contents dry.

I carry a small purse, just large enough for my comb, lipstick, etc....and room key, on the ship. You don't need a wallet or anything like that while on the ship. It's too far to go to the cabin everytime you need to "touch up" makeup or hair!

Ashore, I'll just stick that same, little purse into a tote, along with whatever we need for the beach. If just shopping, I just carry that purse with a bit of cash!

I love the crossbody Vaultpro Gateway bag I bought from Magellans for carrying around (hands free!) in ports. It hold everything I could possibly need for a day and yet it's lots smaller than most of the giant day packs they sell. On the ship I have a tiny, little gold bag that I bought in Las Vegas that wears like a belt around my waist if I feel the need to carry a a comb or extra camera batteries or something. But never being that far from the cabin I usually don't bother and just stick a lipstick in my pocket. If I want to take pictures I just carry my camera.

I carry a medium sized tote bag in port. It usually has my Nook, my camera, a small bottle of sunscreen, carmex, S&S card, credit card and a little cash.

On board, I have a small crossbody bag with S&S card, carmex, a few bucks and my camera (I'm the designated photographer for my family).

I don't get too loaded down unless I'm shopping! :D

We use lanyards for our Sea Pass (card) and when we go ashore, we put our Driver's License and one credit card into the plastic pocket where our "key card" hangs out.

Depending on if we're in, say, Juneau, AK or Acapulco, MX, we can just keep the lanyard inside our shirt/blouse on-shore.............actually, it's less in the way if it's inside our clothes.

You are asked to have, "Government Issued I. D." when you leave the ship, that's why we have our Dr. Licenses. Our passports generally reside in the safe in our cabin.

Onshore I use a lightweight back-pack, just over one shoulder with tissues, camera, etc. and my very small travel purse inside and my water bottle in the netting on the side of my pack.
