Best BANG for your Buck drink?

Not a beer drinker.....more of a martini and champagne gal. Would love some recommendations however for a mixed cocktail or tropical drink that (on a cruise) will give me more bang for my buck.....then just a lot of froo froo fruit juice.

Vodka Tonic....mostly vodka! The lime wedge is most refreshing! Avoid the frozen "foo-foo" drinks.

Strong drink...PLUS it is a classic cocktail so if you ask for your receipt you get a 5.00 match play coupon at the casino cage..

.so if you play any table games in the casino, take the receipt for the drink to the cage and get the coupon and put your money PLUS the 5.00 match play down and its like free money to use in the casino... so the 9.00 drink is actually on 4 bucks...

I know this is a little OT but the best, most kick*ss drink I have ever had was last week at Margaritaville in Grand Turk. It was at the bar by the pool, not the one in the pool. It was a Miami Vice, half pina colada half strawberry daiquiri with blue curacao and rum drizzled over the top. Not bragging but I am a 210 pound man that can drink some booze. These things cost $11.00 for 12 oz and all I can say is wow. If you go to Grand Turk give it a try.

When we got back to the ship my wife plainly told me you are never to drink rum again :>)

I'm voting Long Island Iced Tea as well. Don't need a lot to get you going and keep you going. Plus the match play thing gives you a chance to win the money back. (or spend more if you lose :()

If you like Martinis try the Tirimisu martini. Also if there is a Martini Bar on board, they have some strong drinks. The Closer is very good.

I think all the ones at the Martini bar are a good value.

Reds Remedy at the Rum Bar is about the only thing on deck that seems to have that much of a kick. Although this past cruise we did get a round of Hurricane Waves that tasted like doubles.

The Fun Ship has the same affect on me as the Long Island...let's just say I get pretty happy with either of those :). I always start out my cruise with a Fun Ship Special!

The P U N C H L I N E R. Wicked stuff. Only sold in the comedy lounge during shows. Runs $10 with tip. Worth every penny. Mix of blue curacao, beefeater gin, skyy vodka and one other thing. One is enough for a serious buzz and it tastes pretty good also. I guess the shots they sometimes offer 4 for like $20 can be good too but I never tried any of them.

Purchase a bottle of Gin from Carnival and sneak on about 2 ozs of Dry Vermouth.Carry on a jar of olives and then make your own best bang for your buck Martini.

Vermouth may be classified as a wine so you may be able to carry that on. :)

Long Island iced tea, as others have stated. Pretty much everything else contains only a splash of alcohol.

I've been on 4 Carnival cruises, and knew nothing about the casino connection with classic cocktails.

One smuggled bottle of grey goose , purchase soda card

Tomato and goose breakfast

Orange and goose lunch

Olive and goose dinner

Repeat Next day

Long Island Ice Tea is a good choice. So is the Martini Tasting Flight! Fiance and I split 2 of them last cruise so we could try every flavor and we were feeling them let me tell you!

Bootlegging Midori, Rum, and Vodka gives you many option.

Midori + Lemonade from the Lido = Midori Sour

Rum + coke from the bar or your room = A classic go to drink

Rum + tonic and Lime wedge = Refreshing

Rum + coffee = Fun after dinner

Vodka + OJ = A good morning

Vodka + Tomato juice = A nice sister to your good morning

Vodka + Ice Tea = Poor man's Iced Tea

Vodka + Rum + Ice Tea + Coke = No so poor man's iced tea

Vodka + Iced Tea + Lemonade = Hammered Arnold Palmer.

There are other combinations of fun but you get the picture.
