They have Uber now in PC? Will they go from Old Town San Juan to Pan American Pier?

They cover that area, only thing I've seen An error on is the airport. They won't pick up at the airport, but will drop off.

How much is a taxi from the cruise port (OSJ) to Condado? I can't tell from this chart.

Looking here:http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/getting-around-by-taxi/

From the Piers & Terminals in Old San Juan (Zone 4)

To Zone 3 – Hotels in the Condado and Miramar Areas

about $14 inc Gas Surcharge. ($1 extra per suitcase)

Is this recent?

Because another post said they were charged $20. Aren't the rates set?

I am the person who posted in another thread. I was charged $20 last year, plus $1 per suitcase plus tip. It was Condado to the pier in downtown, not pier to Condado but that shouldn't matter. Maybe rates went down since last year...? Or maybe we got overcharged...? We just walked up to a cab that was along the road in front of the casino and asked how much so we didn't go through a coordinator like we did at the airport.

You were definitely overcharged. That is about the rate from the airport to the pier. We were in Condado last year (March) and we paid $15, including our luggage but not tip, from our hotel in Condado to the Pan American pier. We used a taxi that was waiting outside our hotel.

Zone 2 thru 5 on the linked table pertains to tourist areas.

Check Uber app for their rates which are a lot cheaper; service does not cover the entire island yet.

Hello,

six of us will be cruising out of SJ March, 2017 on AOS I noticed the pan-American Pier has a east/west side which side does AOS go out of

Pan American pier has capacity for two ships docked very close to each other, so it makes no difference east/west in terms of taxi fare, I've always seen AOS docked on the left side and the Celebrity Summit to the right as shown in the photo; either position both ships go out to the left toward open sea.

Update

They will not pick up at the pan am pier. The app let me book this morning, but the driver called after accepting saying they were not allowed to pick up. :/. Taxi it is to get back to the airport.

Uber is a constantly changing entity here.

Two days ago they couldn't drop us right in Plaza Colon. Yesterday they did. Both days we had to walk out of the immediate area of Caribe Hilton to be picked up and the same spot to be dropped off.

Their app doesn't keep up with the reality so have some patience. :)
