Allure floor question

What are the positives about being on that same floor? Just wondering

Walking through Central Park is a pleasant way to traverse the ship lengthwise. There are also several food venues there, including the complimentary Park Cafe.

We like 8 very much on Allure and Oasis. Smack dab in the middle of the decks, easy out to Central Park, right near Dazzles for dancing in the evenings and easy up or down to whichever deck for other food or entertainment. Probably our favorite deck for a cabin on those ships...

Hi,

I am booking the Allure. Never been on this ship but been on the Oasis and the Freedom. I somehow ended up on the 6th floor for both of these ships. I have the option of floor 6, 8, 11 or 12.

Which one would you do?

Thanks!

6 and 8 are fairly central to things so they are popular. I personally like to be up near the pool , but have a one deck buffer between me and the pool deck, so for me it is deck 12, which I have done twice.

I personally liked deck 8 as it was nice going out to the park in the evenings or grabbing tapas from Vintages to bring back to the room and enjoy on the balcony. I would think deck 6 would also be nice and convenient.

If I am in a suite I like to be closer to the Concierge Lounge (deck 11).

But if not in a suite or not using the CL, I like deck 6 for these reasons:

- same deck as Boardwalk / AquaTheater aft and Spa forward.

- same deck as Diamond Lounge if you are Diamond or higher (but they are moving the DL next year down to deck 4 I believe).

- walk down one deck to the Promenade.

- walk down one deck to walking / jogging track.

- walk down two decks to Casino and Amber theater.

- walk up 2 decks to Central Park.

- walk down 1 or 2 decks to Main Dining Room.

So most of the time we do not need to bother with elevators and just take the stairs up down 1 or 2 decks for the majority of our activities. The exception is going to/from the pool deck 15.

I would look at the deck plans,http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/ship/decks/deck/home.do?shipCode=AL, and decide what you would like the most ,then book the deck closest to that, since you cruised oasis did you have a favorite place

See above in bold......diamond lounge has already moved.

Thank you everyone. I booked it on 6. I actually got 2 rooms. One for DH and I and a separate one for the kids for the same (even a bit cheaper if you can believe it) price.

Question though -- the rooms we were looking at are quite close to the Diamond Lounge. Does it get loud in there? Anything I should know about that? I'm not a Diamond member. Far from it.

It will be very quiet in the Diamond Lounge after 8:30pm.
