chocolate malteds and egg creams

Any place on the Summit to get a chocolate malted or an egg cream ?

HA, no soda fountain drinks on any Celebrity ships.

But you can take a glass to the buffet area and get home made ice cream.Then go get a can of root beer and have yourself a root beer float!;)

They have chocolate syrup (for the Mudslides) and cream (for White Russians) at the bars. And soda water, of course. Maybe a bartender will make you an egg cream if you ask.

Just knew the OP had to be from New York :). And the answer to the question not asked is NO, Celebrity does not have any Fox's Chocolate syrup aboard. We have been on more then 100 cruises (14 cruise lines) and have never seen an Egg Cream or Malts on any ship.

We are Celebrity regulars now, but some years back we took a last

minute Royal Carribean ( "something" of the Seas)

There was a "Johnny Rockets " on the top deck JR is a hamburger and malt

kind of restaurant. They have reasonably good malts for a few extra dollars.

Never seen one on an X ship, however.

That was about the only thing that we liked about RC. Much different crowd and crew attitude than X. Activity's personnel, were constantly trying to sell

us stuff, etc. etc/

agree . . . Chocolate Iglu is amazing! A favorite afternoon treat when returning from a hot day in port.

The only place I've seen shakes on Celebrity was at Bistro on 5 when they expanded the menu to include burgers and such. However, with Bon5 gone, so are those shakes.

Sad to see B on 5 gone...nice shakes , great mac and cheese...daily specials...

Maybe when the sushi concept fails they,ll reinvent it as a deli...ice cream parlor...

A non-alcoholic mudslide is pretty close to a milkshake. Some of the bars use crushed ice but some have ice cream mix. I get some quizzical responses when I order it, though.

Try the Affogato @ Café Al Bacio - Shot of Espresso over gelato. You can ask for a chocolate or caramel shot as well, w/ or w/out whip cream... Enjoy!

Forgot about that but is only available when the gelataria is open. THis is also a way of having gelato with paying extra for it especially if one has a drinks package

Yes...I've often thought about ordering an Affogato and asking them to "hold" the espresso (or serve it on the side!) but I've never had the nerve. Has anyone ever tried this? Would they do it? (I love gelato, I love espresso, just not combined...) :D

Thanks for the Iglu responses. I'll try one on my sailing to Panama!
