We are looking for a cruise out of London in late June. We'd like to see Portugal, Monte Carlo and end in Barcelona. Please advise.

There are several ports in the UK for cruise ships to leave from. Very few ships leave from the Thames in London, and they are small, luxury lines. Go to http://www.cruisetimetables.com and choose the departure ports in the UK from the top list. Then choose the time you want to sail, and it will show you ships sailing and their itineraries. Do you really mean London or do you mean the UK? I do not think that many if any actually cruise out of London and downs the Thames to the sea. CC has a "Find a Cruise" search engine. Try using it to find your cruise.

As others have said there are few if any cruises actually leaving from London. We have sailed out of both Southampton and Dover on Princess. Both ports are accessible from London.

When cruise lines refer to "London" they usually mean Southampton or Dover or Harwich, all about 80 miles from London.

That's no big deal, there are excellent transport links.

And a good choice of cruises from those ports.

Also a good choice of cruises from Barcelona.

But I don't think you'll find one-way cruises starting in the UK & ending in Barcelona, or vice versa.

Few, if any, cruises out of Barcelona include Portugal - most do Mediterranean round-trips.

Cruises to the Med from the UK usually call at one Portuguese port (usually Lisbon), at Barcelona & other Med ports but finish back in the UK.

Sounds like you're considering a first cruise, or at least a first European cruise. Best bet is to phone a cruise specialist travel agent - just do a google search using that phrase. :)

Virtually all ships that sail from the UK will return to the UK. There must be one or two repositioning cruises, but they often finish up in Italy or Malta.

We were on a Princess cruise a few years ago that left from Rome, called at Barcelona, Lagos and Lisbon and ended up in Southampton. Go to their web
