Neptune Lounge Drinks other than Coffee and Tea?

Just wondering what drinks are available in the Neptune Lounge other than coffee and tea?

Himself is just working out whether he wants a soda card or whether he is happy with the cold drinks on offer there.

Also wondering what snacks they serve during the day...and what the opening hours are. On RCI the Concierge Lounge was open 24 hours so if I couldn't sleep I could nip in there and sit quietly with a cup of tea at any hour.

I'm interested too, to see how it compares to rccl. I have read everything from it being fully stocked to only cold cereal so I would like tge real scoop.

There are some cold drinks there. All I tend to remember are the fruit like drinks and they weren't that appetizing. The snacks that were provided weren't that memorable. Personally, we found the coffee and snacks at the Explorations to be much more flavourable and enjoyable.

There's a machine that makes coffee, cappuccino, and espresso. It's good. There's also juice, usually orange, apple, and cranberry. There is also a selection of teas.

They rotate snacks in throughout the day. It's usually fruit and pastry in the morning and and and then switches to other items later in the day.

The Neptune is not 24/7. It closes around 9 or 10 pm. We like it better than RCCL's as do our family members who've had both. That said, our RCCL experience was a number years ago on Explorer of the Seas, and things might be different now. For us, the determining factors were convenience - the EoS lounge was several decks away, and the concierge service level. Again, it might have just been one employee.

On Radiance of the Seas the Concierge lounge was about 3 decks above the cabins, so not so convenient. The good thing there was they had an indoor and an outdoor area which was lovely and an amazing bar man at their 3 hour happy hour in the evening.

I look forward to the comparison, pretty sure both are very nice in their own ways.

They always have cold water there. Mornings are fresh squeezed oj as well.

the munchies in the morning are more than pastries - there is smoked salmon with all the fixings, a nice yogurt with museli (sp?) fruit, etc.

Afternoon there are your typical hors' d'hoeuvres along with veggies and stuff.

concierge there can also take care of most of your needs whether it be reservations in the restaurants, seating, shore excrursions, questions, requests, cashing traveller's cheques or exchanging monies, whatever.

You have to purchase the bottles of water, but they are available. Free drinks on board are juices, water, iced tea, hot tea and coffee. You pay for sodas, tonic, sparkling or still bottled water. There is ice water readily available. We pack those double walled water bottles and refill them because they keep your water cold longer at the pool.

Water bottle is a good idea!

We need to do some fixing of the shore excursions we have booked so very happy to be able to do it there rather than have to line up downstairs.

Himself loves smoked salmon so he would be very happy to have breakfast there!

The Neptune Lounge is open from 7 AM until 8 or 8:30 PM -- it depends on the ship.

There is cold water available all day.

In the morning there is orange juice -- not always freshly squeezed -- depends on ship. In the afternoons there is usually cranberry juice. But on one ship we had grape juice. Some ships have iced tea.

From 7 AM until about 10:30 to 11 AM, there is continental breakfast -- muesli, fruit parfait, fresh fruits cut up, meats, cheese, pastries, bagels, rolls, English Muffins (there is a toaster).

From 11 AM until 4 or 5 PM there are finger sandwiches, small wraps, several desserts, cookies, chocolates, pound cake.

From 5 PM until closing there are cold crudités and cold appetizers.

The only shop that does not have all these offerings is the Westerdam.

No one has mentioned this - Milk (in the morning) in cartons.

I take a couple of extra ones and keep in my refrigerator (cooler) along with a couple of cookies for an evening snack!

If I remember right we seemed to have all of those offered on the Westerdam back in 2004, but then again that's been awhile.

Right - we had them when we were on the Westerdam in 2008 and 2009.

But everything that was on the side board disappeared the first of March, 2013 -- as we discovered when we got on the ship about the third week.

Thank you for this explanation. This will make my husband a happy camper as we have decided our planned December Noordam trip will be in a Neptune suite for a nice change of pace and more space.

I think you'll enjoy it.

In the afternoons along with iced tea I think the water had lemons, oranges or some fruit in along with the ice.
