I havent seen a thread on this, but, maybe i missed :)

looks good !!!! :)

It looks good to me too. I think anybody that lives in the south loves great barbecue. The news of this new food venue came out about a month ago. But you'll need to be fast to get to experience it. It's only open from noon to 2:30 on sea days on Magic.

There were a few reviews of it, mostly positive but nothing detailed.

I am going on the Magic tommorow for 10 days (3 sea days) So I plan to try it no matter the wait.

Here was what has been said;

Guys BBQ: I wasn't sure I wanted to wait in line for this, but we decided to and I'm so glad we did!! I tried all the meats, and they were all delicious! The Mac and Cheese was the best side item, the rest were mediocre at best. Might have to give it another try...just to be sure!!

We were on the Magic last week. we stopped by the new bbq one day and I grabbed a small plate of food to sample. I had the chicken, pulled pork and the cole slaw. The chicken was fantastic. The pork and slaw were very good. I will also say that we liked the guys burgers too. My personal favorite new addition was the blue iguana tacos. I had a few of those almost every day.

I will be on the Magic at the end of July. I love the Breeze and hated to see her leave Miami, but getting the Magic in Pt Canaveral pretty much makes up for it - Canaveral is much closer to me than Maimi is - 1.5 hour drive vs. 4 hr. drive - and I really liked the port when I sailed on the Dream.

The BBQ looks fantastic & I'll also be in a wrap balcony for the first time (got a great casino deal) so needless to say I am so looking forward to this cruise.

Now if we could just get a ship that does 7 day cruises in Tampa!!! Legend, please come back!!

Ok, I've had it twice now.

Outstanding bbq!

The chicken was excellent, needs no sauce. Really good.

The beef and pulled pork is very good.

Kids loved the mac & cheese.

DW liked the beans I was a bit less than impressed. They were good but better with some bbq sauce mixed in.

I was first in line both times by arriving at 11:30, opens at 12 noon. The second time there were 6 people in line behind me by 11:35!

Lines got long, stayed long until about 2:15 or so.

Slipped in at that time for just some chicken legs.

Better than Fat Jimmys.

Did not try sausage or greens.

Will likely skip this Friday, our last sea day. Twice is good enough.

Here you can see where the second line is, when you reach the sign a hostess directs you to the other line.

Don't let the poor pictures or looks of the food fool you, it was very good.

The Mac and Cheese were in the covered containers.

On the Breeze the lines at Fat Jimmy's were so long that it stopped me from trying it on one sea day. On the next sea day I stood in line a half hour and by then many items were gone. What I did have: chicken, beans, slaw, were good but not great.

Take care,

Mike

Looks OUTSTANDING! I can't wait to give this a try. So much better than the burger joint for me. Hope they add this to all the ships in the future. ;)

"SKY"

Guys burgers on this ship were way better than those on the Breeze last year. Bigger and less greasy...but still greasy enough.

This bbq joint is worth some wait. The wood smoked chicken rocks.

We honestly chose our Magic cruise in irder to try Guy's new place! Love his burgers on other ships. I do hope it is on the Vista and is open longer!

The Pig and Anchor will not be on the Vista until it gets to NYC. John Heald mentioned on one of his live videos that it has to do with getting ingredients. Can't get them in Europe.
