GabbyKeira Posted March 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2017 I was curious as to people's preference about booking a subsequent cruise while onboard. What are the advantages? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
CruiserBruce Posted March 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Do you have a specific cruise line in mind? If so, I would be asking on the board for that cruise line, as the benefits- if there are any- vary widely. There may be sales/promotions on, or there may not. GUT2407 Posted April 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2017 It varies by line. Princess I prefer a future cruise credit to a deposit on a cruise then I can consider my options. Cost $100, that's all the deposit you need on a future cruise. And you get OBC, example we have two we are about to use cost $100 ea, will get $150 ea OBC. Celebrity do similar, but you can choose to take the OBC on the cruise you are on.

Surfguyxxx Posted April 26, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 26, 2017 I like to book on-board, give the reservation to my travel agent, and she finds me better prices. No brainer.

MrsPete Posted August 11, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 11, 2017 I was curious as to people's preference about booking a subsequent cruise while onboard. What are the advantages? Oh, the advantages are very real! You're having a great time and are inclined to go ahead and book -- and once you're booked, you're less likely to consider other vacations ... and you're less likely to compare other cruise lines. You get those coupons for friends, so you're likely to sell someone else on a cruise. They give you OBC, which -- in actuality -- costs them very little. Oh, wait -- did you mean advantages to the cruiser? No, the biggest advantages are for the company.
GabbyKeira Posted August 11, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted August 11, 2017 Gotcha! I know that now some lines aren't even offering a discounted deposit! Thanks for the chuckle [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Forums
