Just a quick reminder.....Suite perks that you thought you had when you booked are not guaranteed to still be in effect for your sailing.

Actually the suite perks you thought you had yesterday, you may not have tomorrow......or even this afternoon for that matter!!:D

I'll grant, perhaps........ supposition. :D

You are giving her more credit than her statement is worth!

Does this include the Pride of America ship? I have seen posts that state that you get Champagne only. Any recent category SC, owners suite POA cruisers have any information on this?

We were in suite #8500 on the POA in December 2014 and had sparking water, soft drinks, sparkling wine and three bottles of red or white wine complimentary with our suite. I'm not sure what class of suite it was, but it had a jacuzzi hot tub on the balcony, as well as in the master bathroom, so I'm guessing it was an Owner's suite.

We took a new "all in package" this includes a credit for shore excursions. Do not want to pay for anything pre cruise as we have nice credits for all speciality restaurants, internet, shore excursions , alcohol, picture package, shipboard credit and other perks. This is in addition to the suite perks.

Guess we will have to call somebody at NCL to assist.

Txs

We booked our specialties online. We have theAll Inas well. You just reserve and when it comes to the payment box you will see a total due of zero.

Call the excursion phone number and you can make your excursion reservations. Again, you will receive a confirmation with total amount due as zero.

We have 3 excursions and 4 dinners booked and confirmed via the amenity confirmation and excursion confirmation. We have seen the shows on our last cruise and did not prebook those because we don't need to see them again.

The exception is Levity comedy, the preconcierge added the request to our booking.thye are not taking online reservations for Levity at this time.

I apologize for typos I am on an old ipad that is getting ahead of itself

Bummer post for this 1st time penthouse cruiser. However, my glass is more than half full and it will be a fantastic cruise.

8500 on the Pride is an SC Owner Suite. So gwsster should have the same amenities in his/her upcoming cruise.

Also consider that the access to the particular suite depends on what doors are open. They close the stateroom halls and keep everyone out until the entire section is done - if the suite in that hall you are SOL. Some of the OS and such have unique access points and might get recognized to go in early. The butler who escorts you will know if that is the case.

My conclusion is that each ship and category is different. I think that the current list of amenities that a kind CC poster listed look good and was very helpful. So I think I figured out there won't be any hard liquor in my Owner's suite on the Pride of America, however a bottle of Champagne will be in the suite for my Sisters to toast the beginning of our vacation. I have the UBP for the Jade so we are covered there! Whoo Hoo!

Jan

Jan, since FengShui@Sea received 3 bottles of wine (you have the choices of 3 bottles of liquor or wine, though usually the default is liquors (or wine) ), complimentary water, soft drinks in Suite 8500 on the Pride as recently as Dec 2014, I am quite sure you will be entitled to the same amenities in your upcoming cruise.

In my personal experience, all regular or Deluxe owner suites (I've stayed in 8 of them across several NCL ships, twice when traveling solo) receive 3 bottles of liquor for each cruise. As long as NCL calls your suite on the Pride an Owner Suite, even though for some reasons it's assigned the code SC rather than H3 or S3, I am quite sure you are entitled to the amenities accorded to all other Owner Suites.

The laws in Hawaii prohibit the free bottles of liquor. Owners suites on the POA only get the option of wine

The water in Mexico is not drinkable and really awful.

With the fresh flowers, fresh fruit, grab a plate of cheese from the buffet and it's all good[emoji12] enjoy your cruise.

Um, don't think the question was about the water in Mexico.

The sparkling wine is okay. It goes well with the chocolate covered strawberries. We had three bottles on last cruise--suite, platinum, and anniversary package. Our butler told us we could take them to any restaurant and exchange them for a bottle of wine. Don't know if that's an NCL policy or just on Gem.

Is it drinkable or really awful? :D :D Thanks.

I couldn't drink the sparkling wine straight, but add a little orange juice and it is perfect for mimosas. On our last cruise, we took the chilled bottle of sparkling wine up to Cagney's for breakfast and they mixed mimosas for us at the table.

Thank you! The youtube videos look great. While my DH and I have cruised about 36 times, and are great sailors- never been sick, I am a little anxious about a forward suite. However, the ship will be docked in Bermuda for three days- so that minimizes sea days.

I sailed in forward penthouse 11706 on Breakaway last summer. I too was a little nervous about the motion being forward, but did not think it was too bad. The newer ships seem to have less motion than the older ones. There were some on that cruise who thought there was lots of motion, so it does seem to be subjective. Enjoy the suite! It was fabulous!!

Thank you for this response. I am pretty sure it was the large balcony OS. That was one of my options for room booking and ended up taking a room on the 12th deck. I read somewhere that it is only one bottle of Champagne or Wine now?

Can you answer if the soda and plain bottled water is still complimentary?

Thanks Kinofdc, I hope you are right.

That would be lovely, but someone posted that it is one bottle of Wine or Champagne and posted the NCL perks page. I'm not going to get too excited and be happy with whatever is there when we show up. We don't sail the POA until 4/2016 so there maybe additional changes between now and then. I was wondering if soda and bottled water were complimentary.

Thanks. So Owner Suites on the POA get the option of 3 bottles of red/white wine then. The laws of the state of Hawaii obviously supersede.

With the exception of 1 variance, in your upcoming cruise in an Owner Suite on the POA, you will receive the same amenities as one would in an Owner Suite of other NCL ships (unlimited complimentary bottle water (including premium brands such as Pellegrino), unlimited soda, soft drinks in your suite - make sure you order them through your butler, though (you can also order the them through pre-cruise concierge, but obviously your butler would be the one who handles the actual orders).

The 1 exception is that instead of having the choices of 3 bottles of liquor or wine or combination, you have the choices of 3 bottles of wine instead, as pointed out by Twelveman; apparently the laws of the Hawaii state supersedes NCL's suite perks policies for Owner Suites.

And you probably still get that 1 (sometimes 2,3 or even 4 - we never bother to raise questions when we got more than 1, LOL) complimentary bottle of champagne (or wine), in addition. I always do. The few cruises last few months, since we were receiving complimentary UBP, we always ended up giving away at least 2 bottles of liquor (at least twice as many when we stayed in H1 or S1) and 1 or more bottles of wine. Ironically, the UBP excludes bottle water, so the complimentary Pellegrino, or other brands, comes in very handy.

Not sure how the complimentary bar set up works on the POA for Owner Suites as they couldn't offer you the complimentary alcohol, however.

I'm glad you pointed this out because we were not given the option of liquor, and I was beginning to think maybe we had a bad butler! :p
