We have sailed on the Westerdam quite a few -- several were 21 day repositioning cruises.

She's underway!

Appeared in the picture of the new Westerdam atrium ceiling they copied Koningsdam with glass and clouds (may be LED screens). Did they do this on Oosterdam with the refit?

No. Oosterdam still has the distinctive crystal globe, or at least she did as of April 2017. A lot of the Westerdam changes look as though she will be an identical copy of the Oosterdam updates, including the same flooring. We've enjoyed the subtle differences between the ships. Cookie cutter doesn't appeal, but it appears that's the way these ships are heading.

Looks like the supports are still there for the crystal ship-just the ceiling re-done to look like a skylight

Yes that is a excellent question & we would also like to hear if the state rooms have been upgraded :)

We sail on Westerdam this November for 7 night Mexican Riviera from San Diego ,our home port

All the renovations are not completed yet. ( I have a friend on the ship

today. )

would love to hear from anyone doing the first voyage to see what did or did not get done......and would love to see pictures of any of the SS suites.......I know that we can see similar in Osterdam but still exciting if we can see actual pictures of Westerdam.....thanks for so many who take time to post pictures and observations......almost like being on vacation!!
