will be on the Oasis of the seas and stopping in Cartagena from 8-6. Trying to find information on the port area and points of interest and shopping. Thank you

I am on the Oasis Transatlantic in October 24. I found something on the web that says the Oasis is going in for some major changes that could take up to 2 months. Thats a long time for a ship like that to be out. I looked in the Roll calls and there are cruises on the oasis up to 9/29/2024. That only leaves about 3 weeks before the TA from Barcelona to FL, I've experienced interferences, to say it nicely, in the past and hoping there aren't major ones with this one. We booked way back before we knew this was the first cruise out of drydock. Now we are just sticking with it and waiting to see what alterations will be made.

I was also on this cruise and I agree with you that the music had a very lively vibe but I also missed having softer music. Like you said. Somewhere where you can sit and talk while listening to maybe soft classic rock 🙂 Overall, I thought this cruise ticked all the boxes for my enjoyment.. You are doing a wonderful review! -
we stopped in falmouth in January. Took a ship excursion (NCL) to the Appleton Rum place. It was about a 40 min drive by bus to the plantation. We did enjoy the excursion. Also the port in falmouth is nice. I asked a couple locals about getting to a beach. They said just get a taxi. I askef if Taxi are safe and they said yes. But I wouldn't go that far.

I guess I was just hoping there was another main show besides Burn the Floor. I have cruised on the Epic before and it seems Burn the Floor has been around for awhile. Was just hoping for a change. Guess not. Thank you

A newbie’s note on drinks packages

oh I totally disagree on the vodka swap statement. I can certainly tell the difference between a cocktail made with low grade vodka and grey goose. Grey goose is smooth, no burn. -
Sail Standby for $49 a day- new program

Sure is intriguing! I also remember back in the day when my parents cruised out of SD. They said they would talk to staff at the port and if there were rooms available they were able to board. -
Really best to buy gouda in Curacao in the port area. They have all kinds of flavors and choices. It is a bit pricey in my opinion but so many options. I have bought partial wheels in Bonnaire and a little store across the bridge in Curacao which takes some searching. I don't think there is any in Aruba. Ive looked.

Years ago we stayed at HCC Montblanc. Its close to the Gothic area. I just booked it again. Price is amazing! The only draw back is you have to pay now and it isn't refundable. But it was an amazing price!

Does Royal need to change their CEO?

Personally I have given up on the food options in the dining room. I am a vegetarian and some of their vegetarian options are truly pathetic. I would be embarrassed to serve some of their entrees. But when I am traveling with friends it’s their company I treasure so I just drink more🤣 -
Are ncl prices out of control?
Montanagirlalways replied to havanadaydreaming's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I also have noticed that once you click on the price per person for the cabin of choice it takes you to the cabin price for 2. At first I wondered why the price shot up but then noticed it is per cabin.
