  1. Have you tried SeaDream ? (not good if you like shows etc)
  2. Have a blast (nice itinerary but I'm sure you have been to all .. Anguilla one of my favorites) We are Miami to Miami in February but only a week and if you remember can you tell me where they anchor in Virgin Gorda please as we are trying to figure out if we have time to head to Saba Rock for a cocktail (OK more than 1 LOL) as we haven't been since they rebuilt after Irmaria and it is soooo different now by all of their photos - I just hope it hasn't lost it's uniqueness and would love to see Romaine (the bartender again)
  3. @commodoredave .. how did you like Explora? We (as you know) are booked on Emerald in December and also booked Emerald Kaia for Africa and Seychelles in 2027 (there were only a few cabins left) but have booked Explora in February as the price was right (I'm not expecting SD but mainly food and cabins?) Thanks so much
  4. @Jim Avery - when are you sailing? we booked Emerald in December and Explora in February (I know you too are a SeaDream fan and we are sailing on SDI for the Grand Prix as well) Let me know how you like Explora if you are sailing before February
  5. @Dr. Cocktail - we are on deck 8 starboard side above Crema .. do you think it will be a problem (3 decks up from Crema) . Thank you
  6. Thank you so much @kelleherdl and @PaulMCO very much appreciated.
  7. @Elizabethbea thank you - where do you see the deals that they are offering please. I created account with explorer but do they send promotional emails or does your travel agent let you know? thank you for any help
  8. We are booked for our first Explora cruise next February and thinking ahead and wondering what the onboard future cruise discount is if we book 1 (or 2) more while we are sailing (is it 10%?). My friend thought she read somewhere that they give you a code to book yourself and there is no desk? Any help is appreciated - thank you
  9. Does anyone know if they have St. Germain onboard and if so if it top shelf "up-charge" or included please
  10. Just off Sirena 2 days ago and yes they are small and the shower tiny and although I didn't find it dark I found the shower to be on the darker side compared to other ships. Hope this helps
  11. @CKforensic - this will be our first. Quick question - what grandstand do you recommend please? Thanks for any help
  12. We just booked this hotel in Nice for our 2025 Monte Carlo cruise on SD! - have not stayed there before but it looks good .. https://www.hyatt.com/hyatt-regency/en-US/ncehr-hyatt-regency-nice-palais-de-la-mediterranee And here are some I bookmarked that were recommended for Rome by previous SD guests.. https://www.hotelcampodefiori.com/en/classic-room https://www.luxerosegarden.com/en https://www.albergodelsenato.it https://www.lifestylesuitesrome.com/en I have stayed at a Baglioni Hotel in Rome and it was great (can't remember if there is only one or more though sorry)
  13. @CKforensic - would love to hear all about your experience when you return as we are on the SD sailing in 2025 for the Grand Prix .. info like what time you left to see the race (I see the drivers parade starts at 1pm and the race starts approx 3pm) etc. Thank you and hope you have a fabulous time .. won't be long now
  14. Hello everyone, We are sailing on SD1 in 2025 for the Grand Prix and I know SeaDream will release tickets at some point but until they do might anyone here attended the Grand Prix and purchased the general admission tickets? I see they are in the $700 to $1100 range for this year (not the general admission which are around $140 but these would be in one of the Grandstands) and if so I am wondering if anyone has a recommendation as to where the "best" Grandstands might be on the course. Thanks for any help ~ Pia
  15. We have stayed here .. Electra Palace https://www.electrahotels.gr/hotels/electra-palace-athens
  16. We will let you know commodoredave as we booked Emerald Sakura for a Caribbean cruise in December - we know it won't be SeaDream but the price was great and it's always fun to try something new
  17. The only thing I can say is that I guess it depends on the passengers on the ship on any given sailing - we had a very fun group that sailed when we were on deck 4 and liked to party to way past 1am (closer to 2am some nights) and they LOVED karaoke
  18. We had a friend book this suite and said never again because of the noise - sorry I have no personal experience though but we did stay in the first regular room next to it and kept sending hubby every night to ask them to keep the door closed because it was loud and I wanted to go to bed. Hope this helps
  19. Emerald Beach is not "that" far but boy will it be a HOT walk (one I would hate to do but thats just me)
  20. It's a long way to St John's from St Thomas no wonder they felt ill 😂 Now St John is relatively close and takes about 15-20 mins by ferry from Red Hook and 30-45 (depending on ocean conditions) from Crown Bay so not sure why they would have been inside for "hours" on any ferry.
  21. You will swim in unless the catamaran has a dinghy they will use (some do some don't)
  22. Highly doubt you will be stopping at St John on an NCL cruise (we only have small boutique type cruise ships that anchor - think SeaDream and Azamara etc) - are you sure you don't mean St John's Antigua?
  23. Plenty of taxi tours will be available at the pier and they hold 15 or so people so it won't be a problem.
