  1. Yep it should be decorated then. Like clockwork they usually decorate immediately after Thanksgiving.
  2. Yes it’s pretty much anything goes now like you say. I did a 3 night cruise on Liberty of the Seas a few weeks ago and noticed the guy sitting next to me had shorts and a t shirt on in the MDR. Would I do it? No. But if that’s what makes them happy I guess so be it.
  3. Yikes that sounds like a huge headache, no wonder it’s taking so long. I can imagine there is lots of internal finger pointing going on at Celebrity for this. The only thing I can suggest is to keep trying to escalate and speak with a supervisor. I hope you can get your refund soon!
  4. Need more info on what kind of refund. Celebrity is back to quick processing of refunds, they only take a couple days now.
  5. The excursions aren’t really a tell tale sign. Celebrity is happy to take your money now and hold it and earn interest on it and they will refund it when the sailing eventually cancels.
  6. Yes and no. When you are paying $8k to $20k per person for this upper level suite experience then there is a next level of expectations that absolutely should apply and be delivered upon. Otherwise, everyone would just book a regular cabin for $1k - $2k per person.
  7. In the Lyft app (or Uber) you can just type in the search box Port Everglades Terminal … and it will bring up search results. You don’t need to know the exact address. Just like in the Google Maps app.
  8. It’s like $80 to call the ship. Is there a reason you need to call her back? https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/ship-contact-info
  9. Here is what I see for Oct 2023. Looks like they are closed out. Means that the cruise can no longer be sold and Celebrity is making some sort of change. Could be a cancelation, itinerary change, ship redeployment, dry dock, etc. Whatever it is, it’s usually not good.
  10. It can sometimes take a long time to get the cancelation notice. I had two sailings I was booked on where the ship got chartered out and it took many many months before I got the official cancellation notice from Celebrity.
  11. What do you mean dark rumors? The ship is certainly closed out for bookings at the moment for some dates in March/April 2024.
  12. Because I have access to those systems. It says “Closed” and all categories are marked N/A and you cannot book anything.
  13. Even if you complete it in the app they will ask you the same three questions again at the port and enter the responses on their iPad. It’s silly.
  14. It’s closed out in the booking system. Typically when this happens they will let you move to another sailing at current prevailing rates. Meaning they won’t do a lift and shift and you retain your same price. Sometimes they will offer to allow to move to a few specific date sailings and keep your same price.
  15. Sailing is closed out in the TA booking system. Cancellation coming.
  16. @NutsAboutGolf so if I have $900 OBC, you are saying I should charge all $900 to my room in one shot and then cash it all out?
  17. What does it taste like? And do you use it/eat in the same way as the typical green wasabi you get with sushi in any restaurant?
  18. Just an FYI, the 9th April 2024 on Millennium is marked as “Closed” in the internal booking system which usually means that a cancellation will be coming.
  19. They are not full, they are marked as “Closed” in the booking system. So something is happening.
  20. Yes it's old but like the other poster said, patents last a very long time. I was merely just pointing to an article that talked about the patent that Carnival holds. Didn't Royal Caribbean used to have Wow bands? I wonder why those were discontinued? Or did those not open your cabin door?
  21. Yep, I tried the band on the MSC Meriviglia. I’m not sure how their band avoids the patent that Carnival has. Here is an article talking about the two. https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/msc-cruise-ships-wearable-tech-meraviglia-seaside/
  22. Carnival Corp has massive patents on lockdown for this technology so don’t expect it to come to Celebrity, Royal, or any other cruise line anytime soon. https://www.travelweekly.com/Cruise-Travel/Carnival-Corp-wins-patents-for-Ocean-Medallion
  23. Disney cruise line is in a category by itself. It should never be compared to Royal, Celebrity, Princess, Carnival, NCL
  24. Royal Caribbean has drastically changed their target demographic in the past 10 years. They have gone all-in on families with young kids. And that’s great for them, they have to stay profitable. But the chaotic/loud/crowded/busy environments they have created onboard are not the calm peaceful atmosphere that we enjoy while cruising. You bring up a very good point though, the entertainment. No one does it better than Royal, from the ice shows, aqua shows, and legit Broadway shows (although they are moving away from those too, back to their in-house created shows). For us, Celebrity embodies the true spirit of cruising. Calm, relaxing days at sea, good singers in lounges, still decent entertainment, very elegant and modern ships, amazing food, and just an overall elevated experience at an affordable price still.
