  1. And the tips are shared throughout the fleet. We always tip our steward separately, unless the service is awful, which has never happened.
  2. Sorry to hear this. I really hope things improve. As you know, mostly cruise lines put in a three day "shake down" cruise after a refit. Strange that Princess didn't do so.
  3. Never thought I'd say this, but Penny Mordaunt did well ! Lots of middle aged men will sleep well tonight !
  4. Never waited that long. And in Europe, peak dining times are a lot later than in the US.
  5. Yes , there is an Internet Centre. But, wifi can be slow, and it will be expensive.
  6. Thanks for that. I must admit, I didn't think Silverado was that special, and certainly not worth that much. Perfectly palatable, but nothing else.
  7. Both their ships are slightly over your 800 pax figure - 554 cabins, all with balconies, 999 pax maximum..
  8. As are we. 6 or 7 glasses of wine each per day means that we don't really have to do any calculations!
  9. Exactly - when Plus reaches $100 we will stop buying it.
  10. Absolutely - we just like to make full use of the afternoon and eat later. No right or wrong to either aporoach.
  11. By eating so early, you have a good chance of having the same table every night. We would still be out on deck having a drink at that sort of time !
  12. What do you mean by "Trouble with" ?
  13. Now you've got me intrigued ! What was the special price, and how did you get it?
  14. That's what we do. The plus wines are OK for the odd glass during the day, but we upgrade to, fir example, the Silverado, during the evening and with meals. Cheaper than upgrading to Premium.
  15. Confirmation from a passenger that Vines is still there, and Sabatinis is still on deck 5, Rudi's is where BsM was located.
  16. Thanks for the update. That is a surprise. Enjoy your cruise. Sounds like embarkation was speedy. Did anyone check your arrival time or QR code ?
  17. Very much depends on each individual port. Certainly wasn't the case in Southampton or Barcelona.
  18. Thanks for the confirmation. Proves the point that shows are not always at 19:30.
  19. Due, partly, to the fact that there is only one formal night a week on the two new ships. It doesn't seem worth the bother packing formal wear for just one or two nights.
  20. The UK offices strictly apply the 90 day rule. Having said that, our requests have all been turned around in less than a week. Personally, I don't think Princess could care less about private individuals selling 100 shares after getting the obc - in the scale of things it is insignificant.
  21. It has been posted in various threads. Here is tge furst obe I came to
  22. But isn't having a steward exactly the same as having a servant ? They make your bed, clean your room, arrange your towels etc.
