Thanks Jim. Appreciate the info. We are staying in the same room and have no plans to get off the ship or tour so we should be able to start enjoying the second leg of our vacation sooner. Now if they only opened the bars sooner…..

Anyone been on an “S” class ship this year that has a current drink menu for the World Class Bar. Can’t find anything on the Internet or Celebrity app.

Sailing on our first B2B cruise in February in the Caribbean. Can anyone provide a brief overview of the current process?

I have not tried today but I was definitely having issues. It showed no past cruisers or our current tier level/point status.

We are dining in Blu in late February. A few weeks ago they had both the menu for the restaurant and the menus for the bars on the cruise posted. Most of that information has now been removed. We are still about five weeks out from departing so we will see what happens with any updates.

This was my personal experience booking a 2024 cruise back in March of 2022 while on the ship.

Reduced deposit - yes. But no more OBC Then you would get if you booked any other way.

Whether it is the last promo, the current promo, or the next promo Celebrity has increased the base prices of their cruises high enough that there are no real deals out there. Last time we booked on board they were not offering any additional incentives either. Good luck.

The cost differential shows up on the internet as $15.00 per day. My guess is that is for a single device. Not sure how long your cruise is for but the cost could add up quickly especially if you want multiple devices on the plan.

A private tour is a good option. Keep in mind however that if you get too far from port or can’t get back to the ship on time they have the right to leave without you and you are responsible for getting to the next port on your own. If you are on a Celebrity excursion they have to wait. I would also see if the shore excursion desk can put you on a waitlist. If there are cancellations you may get on.

If you have a cruise that is free from issues booking directly through Celebrity is fine. However if issues occur it can Be very helpful to have the power of the travel agency to assist. Celebrity mistakenly canceled one of my cruises at the last minute earlier in 2022 and I had no luck dealing with them until I got my travel agency involved.

Do Aqua class customers eat in Blu for lunch on departure day or the buffet?

I have used basic internet from my phone for text and email numerous times and it has been sufficient. Using the workstations in the iLounge is a different story. Responses there are usually very slow. Never understood why.

This type of charge is why we are thinking of other vacations. Too many charges for incidentals that used to be included all while the base price of their cruises is rising far faster than inflation.

The cruise we took in 2022, booked pre pandemic was a bit lacking in service due to a lack of staff but the lack of paying customers made it enjoyable anyway. The cruise we booked for this coming February was about 25 percent more and 2024 is 25 percent more than 2023. This is all for the same level of Aqua class room. Everything seems more rushed and less value for your money than it used to be. We may opt out for 2024 due to price increases. Seems like too much emphasis catering to suite customers at the expense of everyone else.

The earlier you check in the more flexibility you have on choosing a boarding time.

Ice cream in the buffet area is included. The gelato near the coffee shop is not. I second the free treats at Cafe Al Bacio. Excellent cookies and cakes and all free. No coffee needs to be purchased to enjoy.

Celebrity has a long section on their website that explains what they consider the benefits to be. They don’t appear to be doing much more than a travel agent function. It’s not like they can somehow magically get you to your destination if your flight is cancelled. They are at the mercy of the airlines, just like us. I would definitely consider insurance as it covers many things, not just flight cancellations. Never used it since I didn’t find the prices any better and they wouldn’t guarantee my wife and I would be seated together.

Just go to the casino cashier and they will get someone to assist. We did this last February and my wife took some for the slots and I took some chips for blackjack. It is money you have to gamble with and cannot be cashed in for real money until you play the promotional amount. Any winnings can be cashed in for real $$$.
