  1. $25,000 in slot play or $50,000 in video poker play. It has a value of $50 for OBC or free play.
  2. The best spot is either an Aft Haven cabin or from the Haven Sundeck. The Horizon Lounge also provides forward facing vistas. The views will be on the starboard side and it is really looking back at Seattle.
  3. We were on the Encore a week ago and didn't feel nickeled or dimed. We new exactly what was included and what was extra, if we wanted. Justly like any other line. We saw the pastry girls every morning, singing their song, offering the daily special. And were offered coffee on several occasions (not every day). Choir of Man is a production show and is one of the most popular shows on NCL, being installed on multiple ships. Please don't sail with NCL if you don't understand how to sail without extra costs which seem to upset you. We always get away with <1 page bill at the end of the cruise.
  4. I am not aware of any ships where the internet cafe has been removed. But, our last cruise on the Joy was right before the pandemic shutdown.
  5. No cheerleading. Stating facts. Other cruise lines charge you for the beverage package. Other cruise lines charge you tip. Fact. You can get a NCL "Plus" beverage package with unlimited boxed water, energy drinks, sports drinks. But, you don't want to get a beverage package with boxed water. Fact. You don't want boxed water because you think it tastes different. But you complain that you can't get it. Fact. You can order a vodka red bull, but not a red bull by itself. Fact. You can drink club soda, but not sparkling water. Fact. You can drink as much water at a bar, restaurant, stateroom as you want. Fact. You can fill up your own water bottle, using a clean cup and never placing it at a dispenser. Fact. Not sure why all the fuss. Fact.
  6. Yes, you could have paid $50 per for the meal if you had bought her a 2-dinner package.
  7. I would like to correct that the free package does not include water, sports drinks, energy drinks, or top-shelf alcohol. If you get the "Plus" package, it does.
  8. Any package can be shared by an unlimited number of device. But, only one device at a time can be logged on. We share one unlimited package between 4 phones (2 personal and 2 work), an iPad, and a laptop.
  9. Must be fake news. Captain Morgan was on the menu on the Encore last week. I, personally, did not order it, so I don't know if it was in stock. All restaurants, stores, cruise lines, continue to have supply chain issues. May be a New York thing... banning the captain, that is. Last week, the item that had been out for several weeks was Miller Lite. And our cruise finally got a shipment that was slowly being stocked in bars... so you had to know which bar to go to. By the end of the cruise, all bars had it.
  10. NCL gives you the drink package for free, whilst other cruise lines charge you for the package. The NCL package has never included bottled water, sports drinks, or energy drinks. That's the package. I am sure if they included those drinks, they would increase the price of their package. Water from your stateroom tap is perfectly fine for consumption. I use it every night to bath and to brush my teeth. Carton water (like milk in cartons) is to be more environmentally friendly. I have been drinking milk and juice from cartons for decades, haven't you? And the cartons have no taste to them, unless you start chewing on the containers, I suppose. It goes with paper or compostable straws. Many companies, including McDonalds around us, have gone to paper and compostable containers and straws to be friendlier to our planet.
  11. The pre-concierge is pretty useless. They can not do anything you can't do for yourself. Only onboard concierge can oversell restaurants and shows.
  12. This is totally incorrect. You can book all restaurant reservations at 120 days prior to departure to include Free at Sea, Platinum vouchers, other vouchers, dinners paid by cash (charged to your onboard account). Bookings open 130 days for Suites and 125 for Club Balconies and top-tier latitudes members.
  13. Illegal on the ship.... which is what this thread is talking about.
  14. They are suppose to keep track of towels. It makes people feel accountable. And not take the towels home as a cheap souvenir. I am sure that they still lose hundreds a week. Two weeks ago, there were abandoned NCL towels on beaches.
  15. We never rely on cell phones for our set sail passes. We always have a paper copy for boarding and bars until we get to our room. Too many people fumbling around with phones at check in and onboard.
  16. For us, the forward facing suites are the best rooms on the ship. Deck 9 have the large, 100 sq ft balconies.
  17. Depending on the port, when you hand your bags to the bus driver is the last time you handle them until the bags arrive at your room. There are some ports where you have to transfer the bags from the bus to the porters yourself. Check with the NCL greeters at the airport.
  18. Don’t know. We always walk to the bars to get our included drinks.
  19. Have a great cruise! The PpOA is the very best way to see Hawaii.
  20. Tobacco is legal. Marijuana is illegal.
  21. There is no penalty. But, getting another reservation will be hard/impossible. Don’t miss your reservation, else go to the buffet. Remember, most popular restaurants are significantly oversold to accommodate Suites guests. This is an example of reservation availability on our cruise a week ago. (Red=sold out).
  22. The only outlet is on the desktop. Depending on room configuration, that could be a 20’ run to the balcony. On our cruise two weeks ago, we needed an 18’ cord to get to the bedside.
